1.  Take a moment to work through Isaiah 53:1-11 and make a list of all of the things that associated or connected to “he” or “his" in the text.  Make another list of all the things that are connected or associated with the “us” and “our”.  What does this show us about the cross?

2.  What does verse 10 teach us?  Why is this point so important?  What would Jesus’ death have accomplished if this verse was not true?

3.  In his sermon, Pastor Jon suggested that in light of the truths taught in this text, we ought to repent, rest, and rejoice.  How are each one of these responses an appropriate response to the cross?  What do they look like in your life?

Pastor David addressed the question "What should Christians believe about the Old Testament based on what it says about itself as well as what Jesus and the New Testament authors have to say about it?"

1. What differences do you see between the genealogy of Noah’s family in Genesis 10 and Shem’s family in Genesis 11? In what ways do these differences matter?

2. Take a moment to consider how God has entered into your story and rescued you. In what ways has He showed His faithfulness to you?

3. Are there any habitual sins or idols that you need to turn from? In what ways can others encourage you to continue in faithfulness towards God?

3.  According to the text, how can confusion and division be a gift to humanity?

 1. How does our common ancestry in Noah change the way you look at people from other cultures or ethnicities?

2.  Take a moment to quickly look over Genesis 1-10.  What do you notice about the presence of genealogies?  Why do you think these were so important for Israel to know and remember?  

3.  Genesis 10 demonstrates the cascading affects and generational impact that our decisions can have.  What kind of a legacy have you inherited from your family?  What kind of a legacy will you leave for your future family?

1.  How does the Bible transform the way you relate to your vocation or calling?  How does God use your work to bring form and/or fullness to the world?

2.  What is your relationship to alcohol?  How does the Bible shape and form the way you think about and relate to alcohol?

3.  What does it look like to honor your parents?  In what ways have you done this well?  In what ways have you failed to do this?  Seek God in prayer and ask Him if there any issues that you need to address with your parents.

1.  Noah’s sacrifice and worship are his response to God’s rescue.  How do you see this pattern repeated in Scripture?  How is it different from God’s arrangement with Adam in Genesis 2?

2. According to Genesis, why is the death penalty humane and protective?

3. How might Noah and subsequent generations find hope and assurance in the sign of the Noahic Covenant?
