1.  What are some healthy examples you have seen of work and rest rhythms?  What are some unhealthy examples?

2.  Why do you think that God would give His people a law instructing them to rest weekly?  What does this teach us about the heart of God?  What does this teach us about what it means to flourish as humans?

3.  In what ways have you tied your identity and personal value to your work?

4.  How can weekly worship reorient you to truth of Jesus’ finished work?  How much of a priority is this in your life?

Discipleship Questions

1.  How does Genesis 1 define the “good life”?

2. What does Genesis teach us about the importance and purpose of marriage, family, and children? What parts of the this text challenge you the most?  Why?

3.  Vocation is a blessing from God.  Take a moment to think of the many ways in which your vocation helps other people flourish.  

4.  How have you struggled to be content with the work that God has given you?  How might Genesis change that?
