In light of the tragic passing of the great Hawaiian tube freak and surfing frontiersman, we revisit a chat we had with Mikala last year in Indonesia. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with MJ and his family. Both Jed and Vaughan enjoyed long friendships with Mikala and his loss has been felt particularly hard here at Ain't That Swell.
