Shane Ackerman is a blue collar bodyboarder from the NSW South Coast widely regarded as the heaviest charger on the planet. A feature film charting his exploits in the world’s most mutant slabs, titled Astronaut of the Ocean, has been produced by Keith Malloy and is due out later this year.
