This Sunday Dr. Dry preached on the first false religion that was started by Cain in the fourth chapter of Genesis. We talked about the punishment of Cain, and the mark that was given to him to identify him.

This Sunday being Labor Day, Dr. Dry preached on how we are co-laborers with Christ and with one another for the Kingdom of God.

Today was baptism Sunday, and we got to baptize four believers this Sunday! It was an awesome display of God and his glory working in the lives and hearts of believers. We talked about how important baptism is in the life of a believer as we see through the great commission.

Cain, because of his sacrifice, did not please God - this was the first false religion. there are about 4200 different religions in the world and 310 of them are in america. Any religion without Christ is a false religion.

The world points to a designer, science cant explain it the way that the Bible can; God has told us that He is the Creator, and even proved it through Jesus.

Adam and Eve, having sinned, are now trying to hide from God. Some things never change! God asks them a question that He asks us today: "Where are you?" May we, through salvation in Jesus Christ, answer with a very clear "I'm here - with You"!

The "shot heard around the world" took place on April 19, 1775 when the American Revolution began. The "sin infecting all creation" happened here, in the Garden in Eden, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God! The result has been disease, death, heartache, and sorrow! Our only Hope is the Redeemer Jesus Christ!

We are always either living FOR God or AGAINST Him. There is no third alternative. Eve seems to have been conveniently near to the forbidden tree. As a result, temptation was much easier. Too often, we try to play "close to the fire" of temptation. We should learn Eve's lesson.

English Poet John Milton wrote of "Paradise Lost" and this is it! Satan used the serpent as a vehicle of temptation. Adam and Eve, yielding to a desire to "be like God" and in a moment of selfish desire, lost it all! The price of sin is always much higher than we realize.

God created all the world in six literal days. He created mankind as "male and female"! It is a truth denied in our world today! God is preparing for that greatest of human institutions, marriage!
