Rosalind Gerson, PGY3, discusses a study that compared the diagnostic performance of stress myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) and CT Angiography with AI-Quantitative CT (CTA + AI-QCT) in detecting obstructive coronary artery stenosis, with invasive angiography serving as the reference standard. CTA + AI-QCT demonstrated better diagnostic performance than MPI. Modelling of diagnostic algorithms showed that incorporating CTA+AI-QCT reduced both costs and rates of invasive testing.
