Cosmic Crimes

We previously covered Aileen Wuornos in Episode 1. This new episode revisits the case in the updated Cosmic Crimes format, with a fuller chronological account of Wuornos's life, the men who were killed, the investigation, the court cases, and the public story that followed.

On November 30, 1989, the body of Richard Mallory was found off a Florida highway, and within a year investigators tied that scene to a series of roadside killings committed by Aileen Wuornos. She admitted to shooting seven men between 1989 and 1990 while working as a hitchhiking sex worker, describing the encounters as self‑defense against violent clients, against a background of abandonment, childhood abuse, survival sex, homelessness, and a long history of minor crimes. By the time she was arrested, the picture was of someone who had been pushed to the margins for most of her life and who finally met that reality with deadly force, leaving courts and the public arguing about whether she was a serial predator, a lifelong victim who broke, or both at once.

Her Pisces Sun fits a life shaped by blurred boundaries, emotional overload, and early environments where neglect and trauma make escape and dissociation feel like the only options. That Sun squaring Saturn points to heavy pressure, chronic hardship, and a sense that authority and circumstance keep closing in, while Saturn squaring Pluto adds deep survival stress and power struggles that can twist into destructive reactions when there is no stable way out. If her Moon is in Libra, there is a powerful pull toward connection, fairness, and partnership even in chaos; if it is in Scorpio, the emotional tone leans more toward intensity, suspicion, and holding onto hurt until it erupts. Leaning Scorpio, but covering both, helps frame how her need for attachment and her experience of threat lived on top of a chart already loaded with themes of pain, control, and blurred moral lines.

Over years of donating through clinics and privately, Jonathan Jacob Meijer is alleged to have fathered hundreds of children across different countries, leaving parents to discover they are part of a much larger donor sibling group than they expected. What was supposed to be a carefully limited genetic contribution, turned into something expanding and hard to map. Fears were raised about accidental half‑sibling encounters, questions about medical oversight, and the basic issue of consent when key information about scale is missing.

His Sun, Mars, and Chiron in Taurus anchor his story around the body, persistence, and the idea of fertility as a resource he kept returning to again and again. These Taurus placements point to steady action and a focus on the material and physical, including the way his reproductive role became central to his life and to the controversy around him. With Gemini Mercury acting as the main player in his chart, communication, explanation, and narrative management sit at the core of how he operates. That Gemini influence supports quick talking, reframing, and a flexible story about motives and ethics, even as the fixed Taurus pattern shows someone who kept repeating the same behavior long after the consequences for other people started to pile up. On June 4, 2008, Jodi Arias killed Travis Alexander in his Mesa, Arizona home in a crime that involved dozens of stab wounds, a gunshot, and a fatal throat cut. The relationship leading up to that day was turbulent, with breakups, reconciliations, and a mix of jealousy, idealization, and monitoring that turned their connection into something increasingly unstable and charged.

Her Cancer Sun points to deep emotional attachment and a tendency to tie identity to relationships and feeling needed, which can turn defensive or clingy when she feels abandoned. Taurus rising gives a calm, composed outward appearance, which allowed her to present as soft spoken and steady even in the middle of a murder investigation. A Gemini Moon adds fast, shifting thoughts and an inner narrative that can change quickly, supporting the way her stories, explanations, and accounts of that night kept moving as pressure closed in.

On the night of June 8–9, 2019, Jeffrey Ian Paschel assaulted his fiancée in an attack that left visible injuries and led to the charges that would finally bring his history into court. That incident pushed a longer pattern of alleged domestic violence, intimidation, and manipulation into the open, as other partners and past reports surfaced to show this was not an isolated event but part of an ongoing trajectory ending in his conviction and prison sentence.

With his Sun, Moon, and Mercury all in Virgo, a lot of his energy runs through analysis, detail, and the urge to manage how things appear. Virgo in these core placements can sharpen focus on flaws and logistics, and in a darker expression that can lean into criticism, monitoring, and tightly controlled communication. When both emotions and words are filtered through Virgo, explanations and reframing become tools he can lean on in conflict, especially when he is trying to talk around or justify harm that has already happened.

On June 7, 2021, Alex Murdaugh reported that his wife Maggie and son Paul had been shot at the family's Moselle property in South Carolina, pulling a powerful Lowcountry legal dynasty under scrutiny. His life up to then had followed the family script, third‑generation attorney, local influence, and a public role built on access and reputation, while financial crimes, opioid addiction, and lies were stacking up in the background until they collapsed into fraud charges, a double‑murder trial, and the unraveling of his status.

His Gemini Sun fits someone who lives by talk, negotiation, and managing parallel stories, especially inside a system where relationships and image matter. An Aries Moon adds quick, heated emotional reactions and a tendency toward impulsive choices under stress. With Saturn also in Aries, the chart leans toward lessons that arrive through hard stops and visible consequences, where unchecked impulses and long‑avoided accountability eventually collide.

Terry Rasmussen moved through families and states under a series of borrowed names, leaving missing women and children in his wake long before anyone knew the man behind the aliases. From the late 1970s into the early 2000s, he lived as Bob Evans in New Hampshire, Curtis Kimball and Gordon Jensen in California, and Larry Vanner in the Bay Area, working blue‑collar jobs and embedding himself in households that later fractured around sudden disappearances and unsolved violence. By the time investigators linked him to the Bear Brook barrels in Allenstown, the disappearance of Denise Beaudin and her daughter, and the murder of Eunsoon Jun, they were working backwards through decades of false identities and abandoned lives to understand how one person could be at the center of so many cold cases.

His Capricorn Sun at 1° maps cleanly onto the way he built structure around work, routine, and practical skills, using the reliability of an electrician and handyman to blend into new communities and present as steady even when his personal life was anything but stable. Sun square Neptune in Libra adds a layer of distortion around identity and relationships, suggesting a talent for misrepresentation and role‑playing, especially in romantic and domestic settings where he could present himself as a partner, stepfather, or caretaker while hiding major pieces of his past. A Scorpio Moon deepens the emotional profile: secretive, controlled, and often running hot under the surface, with a tendency toward possessiveness, concealment, and an intense, all‑or‑nothing approach to attachment. Taken together, the chart supports a pattern where structure and usefulness became a cover, and emotional intensity played out through control, disappearance, and erasure rather than open conflict.

Luka Magnotta engineered his image long before his crime made global headlines. He moved through modeling attempts, adult work, and online personas, constantly reshaping how he appeared and who he seemed to be. The attention he struggled to secure in mainstream spaces resurfaced in darker ways, through animal cruelty videos and escalating behavior documented and shared online. By the time of the murder and the infamous video that followed, the blend of performance, provocation, and violence made it clear that visibility itself had become part of the motive.

His Leo Sun and Leo Mercury underline that fixation on being seen, heard, and recognized, even if it meant leaning into shock to secure an audience. There is pride, theatrics, and a drive to script the narrative, from how he spoke about himself to how he staged his actions. A Virgo Moon adds a restless, picky undercurrent, self‑critical, detail‑aware, and prone to overanalyzing how he looks and measures up. Together, the chart suggests someone who craved validation and control over his image, and who ultimately turned that need for centrality into a performance of violence designed to make him unforgettable.

Warren Jeffs built his power through absolute authority, religious control, and the isolation of the community he ruled. As the FLDS prophet, he positioned himself as a divine gatekeeper, shaping obedience through doctrine, fear, and strict control over marriage, family, and access to the outside world. His rise and conviction came from a system built to keep followers dependent on him and to make dissent feel like betrayal.

His Sagittarius Sun and Mercury give him the language of conviction, certainty, and belief, with a strong urge to frame his worldview as truth. That placement can carry confidence and preaching energy, and in his case it fits the role of religious authority he claimed for himself. His Scorpio Mars and Saturn add control, secrecy, punishment, and a harsh instinct for domination. Together, the chart reflects someone who fused ideology with power, using faith as a structure for control and fear.

On October 27, 2019, Wade Wilson was arrested in connection with a string of violent attacks in Florida, including the murders of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz, cases that pushed his name into local and then national headlines. His history shows a buildup of volatility and impulsive behavior long before those killings, with prior run‑ins, anger, and escalation tracking through his twenties. By the time of the murders, the pattern is one of fast‑moving decisions, poor impulse control, and a willingness to dominate and harm when challenged or unchecked. His 29° Taurus Sun suggests a late‑degree fixation on control, physicality, and survival, but that Sun sitting opposite Pluto in Scorpio turns the volume up on power struggles, destruction, and extremes in behavior. There is tension between wanting stability and gravitating toward crisis, often playing out through dominance, control, and refusal to back down. Gemini Mercury adds fast, restless thinking and a tendency to pivot, deflect, or talk in circles, which can show up as manipulative or slippery communication when combined with that Sun-Pluto opposition. Mars at 27° Aries brings raw, reactive aggression: quick to act, quick to strike, and often operating without much pause for consequence. Together, the chart reads as hot, volatile, and confrontational, with stubbornness and power dynamics baked into how he moves, reacts, and escalates.

[30] Wade Wilson (Florida convicted murderer): what we know - Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueCrimeDiscussion/comments/1dtczak/wade_wilson_florida_convicted_murderer_what_we/

On June 20, 2001, Andrea Yates drowned her five children in the family bathtub, a crime that stunned the public and forced a closer look at untreated mental illness, postpartum psychosis, and the pressures inside her home. Her story traces a path from a high‑achieving, rule‑following child and nurse, to a deeply religious wife and mother whose world narrowed into caretaking, isolation, and escalating psychiatric crises. By the time of the murders, the gap between how her life looked from the outside and what she was experiencing internally had become catastrophic.

Her Cancer Sun speaks to a core identity shaped around family, caregiving, and emotional responsibility, which turned corrosive when her mental health collapsed and those roles became overwhelming. An Aries Moon suggests intense, urgent feeling states and a tendency toward instinctive, all‑or‑nothing reactions when under pressure. The Gemini stellium points to a restless mind, racing thoughts, and a tendency to split, overanalyze, or loop through internal narratives that can be hard to turn off.
