Have you thought about bringing your spouse home to work in your business with you?
For a lot of mompreneurs, that’s the dream. Today’s guest, Ashley Shaw, knows all about the highs and lows of working with your spouse, and she’s here on the podcast sharing some of the most valuable lessons she’s learned.
Ashley also knows what it’s like to have a baby whilst managing a business and she’s touching on that experience in this episode too.
Each person in a marriage or business partnership brings their own experiences (good and bad) to the table. Learning to make space for both perspectives and communicate effectively is key to the success of both the marriage and the business.
Ashley is the leading expert in social selling for network marketers and grew a 7 figure business in just 3 years with only 7,012 social media followers. She is famous for turning regular people into micro-celebrities who easily attract their ideal customers like a magnet, without chasing everyone or being even remotely “salesy.” She's the author of Celebrity Magnetism and host of the Social Selling Simplified podcast. Her success has given her the freedom to retire her husband, travel between their 3 vacation rentals, and enjoy raising their daughter by the beach. Now she's dedicated to teaching others how to become successful social sellers and experience the same freedom in their own lives.
Whether you plan to work with your spouse soon or you already do, this episode has so much value packed into it, so tune in!

What qualifications do you need to have to speak about Jesus online?
I used to be afraid to share my whole self online because of what other people might say. Someone once told me that I’m not qualified to speak about Jesus, but I believe that anybody who loves Jesus is qualified to speak about him. That’s why I do, and thankfully, I’m not afraid of it anymore.
If you’ve been here for a while, you know that I love helping high-achieving, Jesus-loving women design a life they love, but that wasn’t always the case. In this episode, I’m sharing a little bit of my journey from hiding parts of myself to being my fully-authentic self and why I choose to talk about Jesus even though some people might say I’m not qualified to.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re not qualified to speak about Jesus, this episode is exactly what you need.

In this episode, I’m sharing the eight things you need to do right now to rediscover the most important person in your life: you.

What does it take to find yourself again? When you’re feeling lost it can be hard to answer that for yourself which is why I want to share this episode with you.
I’ve been on this journey myself, and it’s life-changing. By the end of this episode, you’ll have the formula to find yourself again whenever you lose your way.

How often do you make time to work on yourself? To really do the inner work?
There’s always so much going on in life, it can be all too easy to put ourselves at the bottom of the to-do list.
Our guest in this episode, Julie Morvant, is all about finding ways to do the inner work even when you feel busy and overwhelmed. She believes in finding your purpose through life's challenges and in this episode, she’s sharing how she did that for herself.
Julie Morvant was born and raised in South Louisiana. She is one of ten children and had a good childhood until her father passed away when she was just ten years old. After experiencing her father's death, she struggled with some anxiety, and as a teenager, running became her therapy. She noticed that after a run, all her stress and anxiety were gone. She continued to run as an adult and completed an anxiety therapeutic program. By the age of twenty-two, she decided to go to graduate school to receive her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling.
In 2010, knowing what running did for her mental and physical health, she decided to become an injury-prevention running coach. Now that she is counseling people with anxiety and depression, she can't help but reflect on how she took her own suffering and found a purpose for it. It brings her great joy to help her clients find a purpose through the challenges of life. She believes that nothing we go through is ever wasted.
If you’ve never taken the time to work through past trauma, this episode is not one to miss.

Why is it that we are always so hard on ourselves?
We hold ourselves to impossible standards that we would never hold anyone else to.
Our guest in this episode, Michele Cushatt, is challenging the way we think about our own worth. She’s challenging the idea that you always have to be at your best in every area of your life and teaching you how to make peace with your own humanity.
Michele changed my life. Her book “I Am” is the reason I became a counselor and it’s the reason I was able to find myself after getting lost in motherhood, so I’m super excited to share this episode with you.
A lover at heart, Michele Cushatt communicates with a rare warmth and transparency that draws people in. A three-time head and neck cancer survivor and parent of “children from hard places,” Michele is a (reluctant) expert on trauma, pain, and the deep human need for authentic connection. Thus, she’s absolutely committed to sharing her honest struggles, experiences, and questions so you know you’re not alone in yours.
She has written three books, hosts two podcasts, and serves as the Chief Training Officer at Michael Hyatt & Company, where she trains and develops coaches for the Michael Hyatt & Company BusinessAccelerator and one-on-one coaching programs.
Michele and her husband, Troy, live in Colorado with their six children, ages 13 to 28. She enjoys a good novel, a long hike in the mountains, and a kitchen table filled with people. And donuts. Lots of donuts!
If you feel it’s time to give yourself a break, tune in to this episode.
