  • 29 | 7 Reflection Questions After a Vacation - Disneyland Recap

We’re back from our Disneyland vacation with just the 4 of us and doing a recap on how the trip was! Instead of doing a day by day breakdown, we have 7 questions we’ve asked each other as we reflect on this trip. These questions are a great way to reflect on any trip you and your family take. It’s great to be able to connect on the great and not so great moments of the trip and dream about what we’d want for the next trip in the future. We hope you enjoy listening to our crazy adventures (including the great burrito search) and use the questions from the episode to reflect.

    Questions:

    1. What is an unexpected thing that happened that you loved?
    2. Favorite experience (or ride)?
    3. What’s one thing that you’re grateful we did?
    4. What was the best food or drink you had?
    5. What is something you wish we would’ve done?
    6. What was the bummer part of the trip?
    7. What is something you want to do next?

General tips and I’ll answer all questions in the comments:

    - Try to be there in the morning, wait times are SIGNIFICANTLY lower. We never rope dropped but made sure we were in the parks by 8:30am or 9am. Crowds picked up around 11:30am.

    - Moms - get your lashes done before going, 10/10 loves not dealing with it during the trip

    - Instacart groceries. We had a full kitchen and loved it for making dinners and packing lunches. Uncrustables were the best.

    - Best thing about the trip for me was Lamplight Lounge reservations for WOC (7:55 reservation). We just did steak nachos, drinks and donuts and it was great $95 with tip.

    - Bought Disney gift cards from Target throughout the year. Had $50 per person for spending and $200 for food.

    - Will NEVER AGAIN bring car seats, we’ll book a shuttle that has them next time. Not worth the hassle.

    - Will not do Great Wolf again either. Would prefer to stay at one hotel and not switch spots.

Ever since having kids, we’ve made the decision to have one of us stay home full time to be with our kids.
