Last September, in Letcher County Kentucky, Sheriff Shawn “Mickey” Stines shot District Judge Kevin Mullins inside his own chambers at the county courthouse.

Detectives initial investigation confirmed that Stines tried to call his daughter on Mullins’ phone and his own phone just before the shooting. But why would either of them be trying to contact the juvenile?

Stines has been indicted and so his trial and the search for the truth are only just beginning.
