As we continue our journey in Acts, we find Paul shackled before the tribune. While imprisoned, a group of 40 zealots make a vow to fast until Paul is dead. Through the sovereignty of the Lord, their plot is foiled, and Paul is delivered safely to Herod's praetorium. Regardless of the intentions of men, the Lord's will will not be thwarted.

This morning, Dolan continued our series on Acts with Paul on trial before the high priest. When questioned, Paul testified plainly, "It is with respect to the hope of the resurrection of the dead I am on trial." While that statement divided the Pharisees and Sadducees, it should cause the Christians to rejoice. In all trials, we look to Christ and his resurrection, where he defeated death. We hope this message blesses you in the Lord.

On Sunday, we continued our sermon series on the book of Acts. As Paul meets with tribulation, imprisonment, and flogging, he keeps his eyes on the prize- Christ Jesus died for sinners. May we each have the same resolve to make Christ known wherever we are to whomever we are with.

Yesterday, Hank preached on the truth of Christ. He, the treasure laid in a manger was worth more than the gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The incarnate God, who created and sustains the world, was laid in a manger. He came to save his people. Celebrate with joy, the savior has come.

Our Christmas series continued yesterday with Daniel preaching on the rightful Adoration of Christ Jesus. The odds of Christ fulfilling some of the prophesies depicted were slim; the odds of him fulfilling all 365 were almost nonexistent. Yet, Christ was the perfect savior, and He came in miraculous fashion.

On Sunday, we started our four-part Christmas series with Isaiah 9 and Expectation. Since the fall, creation has been groaning for a savior to cleanse us from our sins. The Jewish people had a clear picture of the warrior son of David who would overthrow Rome. Christ wasn't quite what they expected. We hope this message blesses you in the Lord.

Yesterday morning, Hank preached through Paul's exhortation to the elders in Ephesus from Acts 20. This is the last time he will speak with any of these believers face-to-face. What does he tell them? He warns them to pay careful attention to themselves and the flock. Many arise and want to damage the Church and the gospel- we must press on in Christ.
