  • A DECADE OF LESSONS LEARNED
things i wish i would have never learned, things that harren a heart and that were the fall of the roman empire.  to know how people realy are and how those who profit most from our injury care the least.  How people with disabilities are just a comodity or someones bottom line.  And people don't seem to even notice or care they just keep on going .  LOyalty, trust  and fareness are all out the door.  You could lost it all for a cup of coffee and many have.

  • Day 3636 of brain injury radio- Lessons Learned
It is an angle number and also has other numerological meanings which we will talk about.  Here are the big questions I have to ask myself in justifying keeping things going.  does it help anyone.  And to this day it helps people and is a tool for the ages or until the robots take over and shut down the internet  have we or I learned anything.  The answer is Oh God yes    You know how people get paranoid about the system and we all just blow it off.  Well the fact is that it is worse than anyone imagines and there out to get you or any attached money or power you may have.  Kind of like the Hillary and Obama deep state thing.  they feed us with lies Accept the profiting ones who say they support us are much more petty and selfish.  They want the clients, recognition.  They steal what they want from people with disabilities and have no idea or creativity of their own. Then there are those living with disabilities who by all these examples gossip, lie, and mislead people to build their own egos.  Hardly anyone does it because something inside of them tells them to. It’s a career or business.  Personally, I invested hundreds of thousand into it that is after any compensation I may have gotten,.  I am not complaining because that is that voice inside of me.  I don’t have a choice but I tell you one thing they don’t see what’s coming down the road.  and that is for another show years down the line.  See the docs and lawyers have always been about to wait it out.  Till burn out or they destroyed those survivors who would dare mess with their livelihood or riches cause its millions and billions of dollars And going to share a little of a system of tracing gossip and slander I have been testing over a year the depressing thing its so rapid I would have never guessed,

Kevin has been an great weekly host, since the very beginnings of BIRN going to seven nights per week. He will still be doing his show on the first and third Fridays, but has moved into some other pursuits, that will keep him and Mags hopping. As a result, we will be looking for a new host for the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. This may be one host doing both, or it may end up being two monthly shows. We also are looking for back up hosts, and co-hosts, all of whom should be survivors. So .. If you've ever considered joining the airwaves, now is the time to call. :) If you are a brain injury survivor and have ever been interested in being a host, please call in!! Some computer experience is necessary to learn how to execute a show. Needless to say, a reliable computer is needed too. Some experience with brain injury is a given.  Do some pondering and be prepard to tell us a little about yourself, your ideas for a show of your own, and why you'd like to be a host.

  • Support Groups Matter - Survivors Matter - with Craig Sicilia
Brain Injury Support groups save lives, build communities and give meaning to a life affected by brain injury Many who think about groups, think it may just be coffee and a donut but they are so much more than that, groups for many are the only connection to society, any connection to any other person that is not a medical profession or pharmacist dish out medicines.   Groups get people into the community if their facilitated right, doing healthy activities such as yoga, meditation and nutrition and exercise.   They can help survivors and their families find a purpose that has meaning.  Even after years of being stuck in hopeless mode.  It saves lives, for many survivors who first discover others who have the same challenges, it can be the first glimpse of hope.  Hope that life is not only about loss and pain.  Hope that life can have meaning.  No other services available to those living with a brain injury can inspire hope like peer support. We are doing this episode to share with any and all who ever want to limit support groups, we need people to understand the power in Peer support groups, the power to rebuild life, and dreams.. #supportgroupsmatter    #survivorsmatter

  • Things Are Not Always As They Seem
Things are not always as they seem… Hosted by Craig Sicilia and Cheryl Green After brain injury adjusting to the new you seems impossible but with time things will begin to fall into place sometimes in the most unthinkable ways.  Nine years into the new me I sit and wonder why?  The one thing I learned is that life is not fair.  But with a little help we find our way to a life that has meaning.  A life we can lay our head down at night and feel a since of peace.  Then it becomes up to us to build those relationships in our lives.  To build a life of meaning.  One thing we must learn is that it never goes as we might thing it should, but if we let it, it just might go the way it should.

  • Afraid of the Dark with Craig
Afraid of the Dark Hosted by Craig Sicilia With Special 'Guest Sonya Lee and Richard   Tonight’s monolog is about being in the dark, meeting people in that dark as we are looking for our own answers. Following the monolog I have a special interview with the following author. Sonya Lea the author of Wondering Who You Are and her Husband Richard, and they will share their story of all memories being lost in an instant and as they rebuild their lives to find their way out of the dark.  You enjoy what they have to share. Life can be hard, it can be especially hard after a brain.  It is the most difficult thing trying to learn to appreciate this new person we become.  It can be such a harsh road as those we love no longer want anything to do with us, not because they don’t want to but because they just can’t understand how this person they knew has become somebody different.  All they really want is that old person back that old us.  As time moves on and that person does not return.  Little by little things fall apart for many survivors.   Left alone in the dark, afraid, scared uncertain who or what we are becoming.  Not even aware of the possibilities of someone better, because all we can is different.  I believe that a new life awaits us one that we can only imagine but one that we can love.  A new us that we can love and one that others can too.  That is our journey to love ourselves and find those that love us too.  Though it may be different open up the universe to something amazing.  Maybe this your chance to be a new amazing you.
