Creating Effective People Engagement - with Lindy Scott

Listen Later

Colin talks to Lindy Scott, the founder and Creative Director at Amber, The Health and Safety Communication Platform, about the creative ways in which she is engaging with workers, as well as the journey that has brought her to where she is today.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • We have to make sure that important messaging isn't lost amongst the drip feed of communication that is all too common in the workplace.
  • Messaging is far more effective if we introduce the human element. Even down to artistic considerations, such as art style, always look for better ways to engage.
  • The first step in helping an organisation to better connect, is by entering the organisation and learning all we can about them, their culture, their values, and the way they operate.

BEST MOMENTS

'It was about listening to what users wanted in terms of creativity'

'The human side of safety is about getting people home to their loved ones'

'It's about taking a holistic approach'
