In episode 12 of The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur Podcast we will discuss the importance of investing in yourself in order to have your Zazzle business grow and succeed. When we both started out, we had no idea how to get to our dream goal but we invested in ourselves to get the training we needed to be  successful. Fast forward to today. When you start a business in the online space it is scary the first time you invest in yourself to achieve the results you want. We certainly did. We thought we could save money and figure it out by ourselves with free advice. We were wrong. Eventually we realized that it wasn’t as hard as we thought to invest even a significant amount of money. It was well worth it and we realized we had been holding back the chance for us to be successful because we did not invest earlier.

Once we started investing in ourselves, we realized that we didn’t know what we didn’t know. There was so much more to learn to become successful on Zazzle and what we learned opened up so many more opportunities. We hope that you resonate with our story and hear our advice so that you can start sooner than later on your path to success on Zazzle. You are worth it and you have what it takes to be anything that you want. You just need the tools, skills and expert guidance to do so.

This is a great goal and it’s achievable as long as you know the exact steps you need to take. We will dive into the mindset shifts needed and also the importance of accepting that you are allowed to make that much money. Once you believe you can achieve this goal, you will find yourself making shifts on what you do so that you can reach your first $5K month on Zazzle. 

Some key points we discuss include:

• You have to be in the right mindset and understand that $5K isn’t that much harder than earning $100 on Zazzle. 

• You have to be open-minded and receptive to the possibilities of what can happen.

• You have to work smarter, not harder.

Getting to your first $5K a month on Zazzle is a good goal, a goal which Jen and I, as well as some of our students have already achieved. However, it does take work and preparation. You have to understand what’s currently happening in your Zazzle store and assess what products work for you, so that you can leverage them to reach that first $5K a month income.

Your store brand is so important because when a customer comes to your store they instantly decide whether they want to buy from you or not. The goal is to create a space where customers feel like they belong and, of course, purchase from you.

• How to optimize the banner on your Zazzle homepage so that the banner showcases exactly what your ideal customer wants to buy.

• What are the key things  you need when designing your store logo. Your logo is an important part of your brand and must must reflect what your store has to offer

• How to optimize the “About” section on your Zazzle homepage. It is important to tell customers that you are available as a designer to help and accept custom work requests if that is an option that you offer.

It’s crucial that you implement these components and more on your Zazzle homepage effectively so that your branding message is clear to the customer. A clear and consistent brand is  key to ensure that you are building the Know, Like and Trust factors which are key to making sales.

Brandon started with us in 2017 and has tracked his journey as he used The Profit By Design Academy™ to scale his Zazzle business to over 1 million in product sales. But it wasn’t always like this for Brandon. For 5 years he had struggled on Zazzle, never earning more than $500 a year. He was frustrated and uncertain about how he could make it work for him.
