Performance and social anxiety is a reality for many creatives. The pressures of being an artist and comparing ourselves to others can make us question our value. We must make sure not to operate in a space of deficiency, but rather, remember that we've been given our creativity for a reason, and should operate as such. In today's episode I interview singer-songwriter, Dennis Earl Foster II. Dennis shares his story of how fear and anxiety once stifled him as a creative, and how the Lord used situations to cause a shift in his mindset that allowed him to venture out into big opportunities. Dennis has gone from hesitantly singing in a small room, to confidently leading thousands in worship!

Today's guest is Vantenia Kelley. In today's episode Vantenia shares her story of how when she decided to commit herself to excellence, God opened tremendous doors. She reminds us that when God speaks a word over your life, He will bring it to pass - our only job is to trust Him at His word. 

Vantenia Kelley is a Chicago native, who received her B.F.A. in dance from Northern Illinois University. She has worked with, trained, and taught various dance ministries, dance teams, and studios throughout the Chicagoland area and abroad. She has trained in various styles of dance such as modern, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and African. She is currently the lead dancer for Recording Christian Pop Artist Shuree Rivera. Vantenia is also a member of Dance Missions International and has traveled to Uganda, Africa to teach and minister through dance. Vantenia is passionate about her love for dance and aims to inspire others to always follow their dreams. She has just launched Hallowed Ground Dance Ensemble, African-inspired dance across multi-generations.

Vantenia encourages the creative to walk out on water - He's not going to let us sink as long as we keep our focus on Him.

But as a creative, and ultimately as a child of God, it is vital that our relationship with God be the most consistent thing in our lives. In today's episode I interview Mylene Raspado, a Latina Interior Designer who designs with Color, Culture, & Creativity. Mylene shares her story of how she initially played it "safe" in her pursuit of a teaching degree until God propelled her into her calling as a designer. The road has not always been easy as a mother of 3, but as she has found her consistency in God to be her main pursuit, everything related to her family, business, and ministry continues to fall in place.

For those of you who don't know, I was most recently casted on an Entrepreneurship Reality Show called "The Blox", created by MTV's The Challenge star, Wes Bergmann. "The Blox" is the greatest show on entrepreneurship! This phenomenal show is dedicated to equipping entrepreneurs with the tools needed for our businesses to thrive. Out of 10,000 applicants, I was casted for season 5, promoting my business Starving Artists Courses, alongside about 60 other businesses. In today's episode, I share my experience of what it was like being on reality TV and all of the takeaways I learned through education, competition, and meaningful relationships.

I also was able to connect with other spirit led believers on the show who also have Christ as the Cornerstone of their businesses.
