ReHousing is a research project that explores how to convert single-family homes into multi-unit housing. And the idea is to use affordable, common-sense design to yield high-quality space.
It’s a collaboration between the University of Toronto, Tuf Lab and LGA Architectural Partners.
The projects developed through ReHousing, in aggregate, seek to counter patterns of segregation and exclusion that have been typical of the production of North American suburbs.
Guest: Michael Piper, Assistant Professor of urban design and architecture, University of Toronto, Tuf Lab
