The children’s book, Millions of Cats, suddenly made sense to me as an adult as a metaphor for all the wonders of social media, and the limitations of attention that each individual human has. I may not be able to have all the wonderful things I see on the web, but I can enjoy belonging to a world where these things come into being magically out of nothing, but thin air and imagination. ##WorldWideWeb##Creativity##MillionsOfCats##Philosophy##CreativePhilosophy##Artist##Creative##Artists##Creatives##Wisdom##FYP##ForYourPage##susandirende##Epiphany##Metaphor##livingstories

If you want to make money from your art by creating products online with it, let your own preferences direct you to what you should make. That way you’ll have stuff that you like, and use with your artwork on it. And because it’s something you use yourself, chances are, you’ll make things that other people will like as well. #PrintOnDemand #POD #Artist #Artist #Monetizing #Monetization #CreateAStore #MarketingArt #YourArt #SellingArtwork #YourDesign #YourDesigns #WhatToSell

The description of the road to hell in Dante’s Inferno makes me think of the artist’s struggle to build a platform on social media. #dante #dantesinferno #impostorsyndrome #impostersyndrome #impostercomplex #impostorcomplex #beatingimpostersyndrome #artistlife #writinglife #CreativeLife #CreativeHappyLife #CreativeLifestyle #Advice #AdviceForArtists #AdviceForCreatives #Wisdom #wednesdaywisdom #creativeself #creativelivingsolutions #innercritic #mentalhealth #freeyourfire #metaphorforlife #SocialMedia #lifebalance #socialmediabalance #socialmedialifestyle #FYP

Everything you make is a miracle of creation. The story or the painting or the flower arrangement on the table. All of them are the product of something ineffable, whether you call it imagination, spirit, or consciousness. #transformation #Creativity #artist #artistlife #CreativeInspiration #coaching #ArtistCoaching #ArtistEncouragement #Encouragement #author #AuthorsOfTikTok #writersoftiktok #Writer ##ImposterComplex #Motivation #ArtistMotivation #artistsoftiktok #fyp #fypage .#WiseWords #Wisdom #ArtistInspiration #WritingInspiration #WriterWisdom #CreativityMaster #Growth #WiseWomen #DailyInspiration #DailyWisdom #Inspiration #writersofinstagram #WritersLife #CreativeLife #CreativeHappyLife #CreativeLifestyle

Xeno’s Paradox explains why art is never finished only abandoned. It was meant as a sendup of a certain school of philosophical thought in ancient Greece. But there’s some truth in the absurd thought experiment that can help artist let go of perfectionism, since the perfect can never be reached. #ZenosParadox #xenosparadox #Perfectionism #PerfectionismProblems #GetItDone #ArtIsNeverFinished#NeverFinished #ArtIsNeverFinishedOnlyAbandoned #ArtisticProcess #ArtistLife #ArtistLife #artistoftiktok #artistsoftiktok #painting #Painter #Artist #PaintersLife #PaintingLife #CreativesOfTikTok #xeno #zeno

Negative emotions are easy. Anger fear — there’s a single area in the brain where if you stimulate that spot you trigger the emotion. But positive emotions - feelings of joy, Humor, enthusiasm - these are patchworks of activity coordinated in the brain. So give yourself a break if you find negativity easier than maintaining positivity. #Creativity #Creative #CreativityUplift #CreativeProcess #Philosophy #PhilosophyTok #PhilosophyTalk #PhilosophyOfArt #creativeprocesses #CreativeFlow #GiveYourselfABreak #Emotion. #Emotions #Positivity #creativepositivity #creatorsoftiktok #ArtistOfTikTok #WritersOfTikTok #FYP

love a good first sentence because it tells me that for the next 3- 4- 500 pages I’m in for a great ride. Martha Wells is one of my heroes because she does it with skill, and also with a good bit of humor.
