Creativity Uplift

Creativity isn’t an intellectual exercise, but an emotional one, so using the tools of discipline to try to get more work done might be really counterproductive rather than helpful. A clockwork has to be consistent and regular. But creation, invites chance and random variation that, while anathema to a functioning machine is the very heart of cultural growth. Be the petri dish for your ideas and ignore the stopwatch timing your performance. #Creativity #discipline #creativeencouragement #CreativeNourishment #CreativityHack #CreativeGrowth #fyp #creativelife #creativelifestyle #creativityuplift #susandirende #wisewomen #inspiration #foryou #wednesdaywisdom

Seeking out novel experiences is an act of pre-creation, important to keeping my work fresh and my outlook broad instead of narrow. #Creativity #NovelExperience #NovelExperiences #DoingNewThings #CreativeNourishment #CreativityHack #CreativeGrowth #fyp #creativelife #creativelifestyle #creativityuplift

If you write plot driven stories, things for your main character have to go from bad to worse. Don’t leave “bad enough“ alone because you feel sorry for them. You are the secret villain behind their misery, never letting their best efforts be enough. Tease with small victories only to torture them with a bigger fall. They’re not innocent puppies where that would be cruelty. They’re your freaking hero-to-be, so make them earn it. #Plot #PlotDrivenStory #PlotDrivenStories #WritingPlot #WritingTip #WritingTips #WritersOfTikTok #WritersOfInstagram #AuthorsOfTikTok #fyp #writingadvice #foryou

Overcoming negativity that’s in your way usually involves brain pathways that are very robust from a lifetime of use. You can’t just erase those pathways. You have to cooperate. You have to keep the pathway and change the thought that down it. This is one of the fundamental uses of affirmations. Not to ask the universe for a new car, or promotion, but to rewrite the limiting beliefs stand in the way of actions that would result in you having that car, that job, that success. #s#successn#negativityp#positivityN#NegativeSelfTalkP#PositiveSelfTalkN#NeuroplasticN#NeuroplasticP#PowerOfThoughtP#PowerOfThoughtsI#ImposterSyndrome

Hoping to hack my way past Art Journal Incompleteness Syndrome by using home made journals made for next to nothing from old books and dollar store notebooks. #Artist #ArtistOfTikTok #ArtistsOfTikTok #ArtJournal #ArtJournalHack #DIY #DIYJournal #artjournaling #diyartjournal #artjournalideas #fyp #foryourpage #creatives #arthacks #hacksandtips #impostorsyndrome

Expensive fancy art journals are just too intimidating for me so I’m making a homemade journal out of a hardback book. I’m hoping it allows me to feel more casual about experimenting. I mean I’ve already ruined the book so I don’t have to aim for a beautiful artifact. I don’t know why it’s easier to try to make something out of a ruin instead of living up to a beautiful hardbound journal with quality paper but there it is… #A#ArtJournalH#HomemadeArtJournalD#DIYJournalH#HomemadeJournalD#DIYA#ArtistJ#JournalC#CreativeJournalC#CreativeJournalingA#ArtistOfTikTokCreativityHack
