*EDITOR’S NOTES 1. We discuss the leading suspect of this case in great detail. While we don’t mention his name, we do mention that he is out of prison. This is not the case, as we have found after the show that he is in fact in prison for quite a while. Stay tuned for future updates involving the murder of Margie Dodd. 2. Kent Dodd identified Margie in the photographs by viewing rings that she owned. 3. Kent Dodd was in Ohio when the sting operation took place instead of West Virginia.

In this rare and powerful interview, Retired Detective Lt. Frank Pack sits down with J.D. to share the most in-depth conversation he’s ever given about his career—and the case that stayed with him for decades.

Frank opens up about his early years in law enforcement, his training, life-or-death situations, and major crime busts across West Virginia. But the heart of this episode is his deep and personal connection to the unsolved 1977 murder of Margaret “Margie” Dodd—a case that haunted him long after retirement.

This is more than a true crime story. It’s about persistence, justice, and a promise not to forget.

In this episode, Benny and Ella Dunfee sit down with J.D. to share the story of Outlaw Billy Foster—a man who spent 28 years in prison and left behind a trail of haunting, raw, and deeply personal artwork. Benny, a longtime friend of Billy’s, has made it his mission to find and preserve Billy’s art—not to excuse what was done, but to remember the man behind the sentence.

Also joining the conversation are Matt Bickey (director) and Jose Rizo (producer), who are currently creating a documentary film about Billy’s life, his crimes, his creativity, and the redemptive power of art and memory. This isn’t a glorification—it’s an exploration of legacy, grief, and trying to make peace with the past, and Benny's search to preserve his friend's works.

In this candid and deeply reflective episode, Rev. Chip Bennett, Southern District Superintendent of the United Methodist Church in West Virginia, joins J.D. for a raw and honest conversation about faith in a complicated world.

Together, they tackle some of the toughest questions facing Christianity today:
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Where does the Church stand on gay marriage?
Should women preach?
How do people of faith make sense of war, suffering, and silence from God?

This isn’t a sermon—it’s a conversation grounded in experience, doubt, hope, and conviction. Whether you're devout, deconstructing, or somewhere in between, this episode invites you to wrestle with faith on your own terms.
