This episode of the podcast is with none other than Jake Smith. Jake is one of the most talented distance runners in the UK right now and holds the British record for the under 23 Half Marathon.
Jake grew up in Hong Kong which is known for its immense heat and dense population. Jake used to train on a treadmill and was limited to just one hour of training outside a day. It was in Hong Kong that his the ability to cope with mileage came from and this has developed in recent years under the guidance of James Thie in Cardiff. Jake is surrounded by a fantastic group of athletes who constantly push him to the next goal.
It was great to catch up with Jake especially as I thoroughly enjoyed following his journey up to this point. With the recent news that Jake has signed for Nike, there is no doubt that his 2022 is looking bright.
I really hope you enjoy this episode of the podcast and make sure to check it out on Instagram, YouTube and Twitter!
