Number 5: THE UNSOLVED MADISON SCOTT CASE
On Friday, May 27, 2011, Madison Scott went camping at Hogsback Lake with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. On Saturday night, a larger party occurred with people coming and going into the early hours. By Sunday morning, everyone had left the area and Maddy was missing. Her truck remained at the site, her tent had been flattened, and her belongings including her sleeping bag and purse were left behind. There were no clear signs of where she went. The case remained a mystery until 2023, when human remains were discovered on a nearby rural property and later identified as Madison Scott. Since this discovery, no arrests have been made and very little is known about the circumstances of her disappearance. In this episode, we examine the parties, the conflicting timelines, the unsettling scene at her campsite, and the discovery that brought some answers but not closure.
