Welcome to the four-part miniseries on Canadian serial killers. In part 1, we'll be discussing Dellen Millard, who was not your typical serial killer.

Dellen had a loving family, lots of opportunities and was wealthy growing up- but all that didn't stop him from becoming a murderer. If it wasn't for his arrogance and a few missteps he may have gotten away with it all and maybe even continued to kill. This is the story of a man who eluded capture by police until he already took the lives of three innocent people and how pure evil can truly come in any form.

Garnett Spears was only five-years-old when he dies in hospital after years of health struggles and mysterious illnesses. Upon further investigation, police begin to suspect that his death may actually be murder at the hands of the person he should have been able to trust the most: his own mother.

Lacey Spears had been documenting her son's medical journey through the years, ever since he started experiencing mysterious symptoms just weeks after he was born. Close family and friends begin to grow suspicious of Lacey and her love of all the attention she receives as a result of Garnett's health battles- and the truth that comes to light soon after Garnett's death is sad, unjustifiable and infuriating.  This is the story of Lacey Spears (dubbed "Salt Mom" by the media) and how her desperate need for attention and sympathy caused the death of an innocent and helpless child.

The Mr. Big tactic used in Canada continues to be controversial as many believe it often elicits false confessions from those targeted by this undercover method. The case of Sebastian Burns and Atif Rafay is no exception. On November 13, 2022, four University of Idaho students were murdered in their off-campus home. Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were all stabbed in their beds by an unknown assailant between the early morning hours of 3 and 4 AM and it wasn't until their two surviving roommates called 911 the next morning that their bodies were discovered.

This high-profile quadruple murder has shocked the world as few details have been released and no suspects have been named as of yet. In this episode, we break down what we know about the murders so far including information about the 911 call, the potential suspects who have been ruled out, the mysterious blood-like stains found on the outside of the home and early theories and rumors that have been circulating. With so little information known at this time and an entire community on high alert, this developing story is as sad as it is perplexing.

18-year-old Belgian backpacker Theo Hayez set out on a trip across Australia in late 2018. Looking for adventure, he backpacked all over the continent before ending up in Byron Bay, a small town on Australia's Eastern tip, in late May 2019.

After not hearing from him for days, Theo's mother gets worried and discovered that he actually hadn't been seen since the night of May 31- when he got kicked out of a bar for being intoxicated and walked out of view of the establishment's CCTV camera. After an investigation is launched into his whereabouts, his Google account provides vital GPS tracking data from his phone the night he disappeared and paints an exact route of his whereabouts after leaving the bar. However, the route he takes (and the final destination he has) leads to more questions than answers and tons of theories about what happened that night.

Was he met with foul play? Did he die by misadventure? Or is there another explanation? This is the story of a young man who disappeared leaving behind a digital trail, a ton of questions and a grieving family looking for answers.

David Roman was just 15-years-old when his parents decided to send him to a for-profit foster home in Barrie, Ontario after he began skipping school and experimenting with marijuana. His arrival at the Expanding Horizons foster home coincided with the arrival of another young teen boy with a history of violence and run-ins with the law, and it's not long until trouble arises.

Due to alleged negligence by the foster-care owners (including four teen boys being in the care of one inexperienced 24-year old with no training), a series of events take place that leads to the morning of February 19, 2019- a morning that no one inside the home will ever forget. The horror results in David Roman's murder which instigates an investigation into Expanding Horizons and the for-profit foster care system, with shocking results.

Darrien Hunt ran for his life before he was tragically gunned down in 2014 by Utah police officers. Darrien's story is another example of the justice system falling short. In this case, there are suspicious circumstances that look like a coverup,  and there have been no charges or punishments brought down upon the officers involved, fueling the pressure from the public to re-open the investigation into Darrien's death.

Crime Family is back! To kick off our fourth season (and to celebrate spooky season), we're telling you the story of the Salem Witch Trials, a series of cases that took place over an 18-month period back in the late 1600's.

After two young girls in the Parris family household start to exhibit very strange symptoms in early 1692, it is soon speculated that the girls have had a curse placed on them by witches living among the community. It isn't long before paranoia starts taking over the village of Salem once hundreds of people are accused of witchcraft and many other people come down with similar symptoms over the next few months.

What follows is a series of accusations and executions of anyone suspected to be a witch, leading to mass hysteria and a mystery that still exists today. This is the story of a small American village that used fear and speculation to scapegoat outsiders, and the deadly consequences that result from it.
