San Marcos, California, was rocked by the murder of four children in October of 1996. The horror would only get worse in the coming days when it was determined that their mother had murdered all four boys as a way to get back at their fathers and her current boyfriend for their failed relationships.
After police identified Henry Wallace as a suspect, more women would fall victim before they could catch him. Over the span of one week, he would kill Brandi Henderson and Betty Jean Baucom in the same apartment complex just hours apart and four days later would kill Deabra Slaughter just a mile an a half away from their apartment complex. Wallace was captured by police on March 13, 1994, and would confess to police murders that they had not yet linked to him or hadn't even identified as a murder.
Henry Louis Wallace, also known as the Taco Bell Strangler, was on a killing spree in Charlotte, North Carolina in the early 1990s. All nine of his victims were young black women in the prime of their who were acquainted with Henry through his work at fast food chains like Bojangles and Taco Bell, where he worked as a manager. This episode details the initial missing persons case of Caroline Love and the murders of Shawna Hawk, Audrey Spain, Michelle Stinson, Vanessa Mack, and Brandi Henderson, and how police always seemed to be one step behind until Wallace began stealing his victim's belongons.
Kenneth McDuff was convicted in the late 1960's for the murders of Robert Brand, Mark Dunnam, and the rape, tortue, and murder of Edna Sullivan, all teenagers who were sitting in their car at a baseball field after dark. After the Supreme Court temporarily struck down the death penalty in 1972, McDuff sentence was commuted to life. He was ultimately released in 1989 when he would start kidnapping, torturing, raping, and strangling women again just three days after his release. It would be nearly a decade and at least six more victims before McDuff was caught again.
