December 6th, 2014 a volunteer fire department is responding to a car blaze call when they are met with the unthinkable. A young woman has been set on fire and left for dead. Media sources are quick to report the woman was trying to communicate with the first responders. She unfortunately passed away shortly after she was attacked. On September 6, 1982, eight people were killed on a fishing boat. The boat, the Investor, sailed from a small fishing village known as Craig in southeast Alaska. 

The man, who authorities said was a white man in his 20s with a pockmarked face, shot and killed all eight people aboard the Investor. 

The man then returned to the boat after docking it and set the craft of the boat on fire. He then vanished.

The killer was never caught. To this day, the Investor massacre remains a cold case.

Katherine Mary Knight is the first Australian woman to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. She was convicted for the murder of her partner, John Charles Thomas Price, in February 2000, and is currently imprisoned at the Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre in New South Wales.

The 1976 Chowchilla kidnapping was the abduction of a school bus driver and 26 children, ages five to 14, in Chowchilla, California, United States, on July 15, 1976. The kidnappers held their captives in a box truck buried in a quarry in Livermore, California, intending to demand a ransom for their return.

In 1999, a seventeen year old girl named Jessica Dishon was abducted out of her driveway in Shepherdsville, Kentucky as she was leaving for school. Though a rookie sheriff’s deputy tried to sound the alarm, a senior detective refused to come to the scene, dismissing her as a runaway. That mistake would kick off an egregious mishandling of the case, that included accusing an innocent neighbor with no real evidence. It would take fifteen years to bring Jessica’s real killer to justice.

Melvin Henry Ignatow was a resident of Louisville, Kentucky, U.S., who was tried for the 1988 murder of his former girlfriend, Brenda Sue Schaefer. The case was controversial because Ignatow was acquitted of the charge and he later admitted killing Schaefer.

The Roswell incident is the 1947 recovery of balloon debris from a ranch near Corona, New Mexico by United States Army Air Forces officers , and the conspiracy theories, decades later, claiming that the debris involved a flying saucer and that the truth had been covered up  by the United States government. 

On July 8, 1947, Roswell Army Air Field issued a press release stating that they had recovered a "flying disc". The Army quickly retracted the statement and said instead that the crashed object was a conventional weather balloon.
