Indiana lost at Michigan 52-7, the latest in a string of very disappointing performances by the team and program. GC is joined on this podcast by Mason Williams of TheHoosier.com to discuss what the team looked like in Ann Arbor, the fundamental problems on both sides of the ball, and the mixed messages emanating from the press conferences. We also go over some truly jaw-dropping statistics that illustrate the difficulties IU finds themselves in as they head into the second half of the 2023 season.

GC flies solo for this one, as we take questions on tomorrow's IU-Michigan football game, and discuss what sort of impact Rod Carey might have on the IU offense, what we need to see out of IU overall to show improvement after the bye week, and a few other items of importance. We celebrate the milestone by talking about some of the early history of the podcast, reflecting on the various twists and turns that this podcasting sojourn has taken us through over the years. It's been a joy and a pleasure (most of the time) and we're happy you've been with us for so much of it.

We then turn our attention to our first bona fide preview of the 2023-24 Indiana men's basketball team. We talk about the roster, working our way through the key players, the X factors, and the question marks that surround the team. How high is the celing? How high (or low) is the floor? Will the loss of TJD and JHS be too much to overcome, or is IU in a position to remake its image quickly and effectively? We're joined by IU Volleyball coach Steve Aird and assistant coach Rachel Morris to talk about IU volleyball's impressive start to the 2023 campaign. We discuss Wednesday's sellout crowd against Purdue, the sellout two weeks ago vs Nebraska, and the building of the program to where it currently sits. We also discuss the team's west coast trip at the start of the year, the entry of the four former Pac 12 teams into the conference, and the impact of a coast-to-coast Big Ten on recruiting the sport.
