As we come to the completion of all that was 2021, it’s time to ask the question, “am I heading in the “right” direction?”
This alone is a very personal discussion because, at its essence, only you can answer it. It’s your life after all, and while there may be many variables that impact our lives, it’s always important to take time to recalibrate the compass. Are you still heading in the direction you intended to go when we optimistically set out at the beginning of 2021? Or have we drifted? Have we become distracted by the surrounding narrative that we’ve forgotten what we truly want from life?
The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to begin an afresh journey, however, what typically takes place is very little thought and then a sudden attempt at abrupt change. As we all know, or at some point become acutely aware of, is that we cannot stop time. Despite our greatest attempts, we can only use the time we’re given for as long as we’re given, which is why recalibration is so important. Someone who is “recalibrating” is someone who is making adjustments while in motion, and that is someone who will inevitably get further than if they simply got frustrated with the journey and sat down completely.
