There are two subjects many of us grew up knowing you just don’t talk about at the dinner table: religion and politics. But that seems crazy when you think about how essential those two things are for everything we do in life! In our present society where most people end up polarized about some political issue, it’s especially important to know what Jesus has to say about politics. Join us this Sunday as we dig into a topic we often shy away from and discover how we can amplify the message of Jesus in a politicized world!
We’ve all been on the receiving end of people who say one thing but do another - it’s never fun. Unfortunately, sometimes we’re those people too. That’s why actions speak so much louder than words - behavior opens a window into who someone truly is and whether or not we can trust them. If we want to be people of consistency, who love others the right way, who others can trust, then we have to weigh how our beliefs translate into the way we live. Join us this Sunday for our next message, as we learn together what it means to love the right way!
When it comes to taking tests, there are two kinds of people; those who view the test as an opportunity to find out how much they don’t know, and those who view the test as an opportunity to show the world how smart they are.
When you love something or someone, you don’t want to just experience it yourself - you want everyone else to experience that thing or know that person too! You want to experience it at full volume. As we pick up where we left off in Romans, the apostle Paul shows us a practical way to experience life fully and abundantly. Join us this Sunday for the start of our new series Amplify, and find out how to move from experiencing life halfway, to joining the party!
Imagine what our world might look like if Christians became known for remarkable love, as well as life-giving truth. In our rush to speak truth to today’s cultural issues, it’s all too easy for us to focus on proving our points rather than extending God’s grace. But when we seek only to love but never proclaim a better way, we short-circuit God’s plan. As followers of Jesus, we need to be known for both truth and love. Join us this Sunday as we learn how to influence the world the way Jesus would.
No matter what your story is, we all have the same question: “How can I live my best life?” And that’s the right question to be asking! So often we can feel like we’re juggling multiple sets of expectations for our lives - our own and others’. Really, we know we should be most concerned with God’s will for our lives, but we aren’t always...The good news is, God’s will for us not only brings him glory, it’s the best and most beautiful thing for us too! As we bring our Spark series to a close, join us as we learn from the amazing story of the Apostle John on Patmos, how God reveals His will to us.
