In our final message in the Truth and Lies series, we will explore some essential truths regarding what life really is all about. We will find that this is one of the most central questions we need to settle because it is ground zero for so many other matters in life. If we get this right, then many of the other issues we face will easily fall into place. Everything with a beginning comes to some form of end. It’s the way it is. In the same way, life on earth will one day come to an end. And while we may not get a “heads up” on the ending of many things, we can know the end of this life. In fact, the end of life as we know it has been prophesied and explained long before our generation even emerged. The beauty of knowing how things end is that we can use that knowledge to reverse engineer a beautiful life! Join us to find out how.

Jesus knows our story even when we are unaware of His story. At some point we meet him intimately, and it is then that we realize He had His hand on our life long before we ever knew Him personally. Jesus then invites us to be part of His story and partner with Him to share the good news that He is real.

The greatest news in the world is that Jesus is real. He really lived, died and rose again. And because He did, salvation is available to everyone. But not everyone is open to that truth. There are those who doubt it. Yet the reality is that Jesus wants to share his life with us… and not just some of us either, but all of us! That is the truth about salvation and the reason you don’t want to miss this week’s message!

One of the blessings of this generation is the unbridled access we have to information. Unfortunately, the problem with living in an information-saturated culture, is that not all the information is true. There are a lot of false teachers out there. The same was true in the first century when the church was in its formative stages. Peter wanted his hearers to understand the truth about the false teachers of their day, and we can learn some important lessons from what he shares.

Deuteronomy 34 brings not only the book of Deuteronomy, but the entire Torah, to a close. It's also where we say goodbye to Moses as the leader of Israel. Although everyone knew that Joshua would take his place, in Deut. 34 Israel finally faces the reality of Moses’ departure as he goes home to be with the Lord, and Joshua transitions into the role of Israel’s new leader.

Happy Mother's Day! On a day dedicated to honoring mothers, it seems right to take a moment to reflect on Jesus’s mother, Mary. She was declared by angels to be blessed among women. And as we look at this amazing woman of child-like faith and action, we will see a beautiful model of the life that God deemed worthy to mother His own son.
