George Barna released a survey showing that 104 million people of faith, which includes 32 million Christian regular church goers, are projected to abstain from voting in the upcoming election. This is a staggering figure considering that we have important issues at stake such as religious liberty, the lives of the pre-born and sexual immorality being promoted in our education system. Debbie joined iVoterGuide in 2011 as a data analyst and was named president in 2018. Then there are the activist judges that have been declaring void the actions of some states to bring about election integrity. Now the Biden/Harris administration has taken two states to court to prevent them from removing non-citizens from the voter rolls. Sheri Few is president and founder of United States Parents Involved in Education. Sheri described United States Parents Involved in Education as a coalition of states that have banned together to fight the indoctrination taking place in government schools. Their mission is to end the U.S. Department of Education and all federal education mandates. The reason they've chosen this as their mission is because they understand that most of the nefarious pedagogies originate from the federal government and they're incentivizing federal dollars. If schools don't comply with this leftist agenda, they threaten to withhold funding. Part of the problem, as Sheri noted, is that the Biden/Harris administration believes that children belong to the community. She believes children are a gift from God to the parents and thus no one else has any authority over those children. She sees an intentional agenda where children are taught lie after lie. Whether it's Mao or Hitler, such leaders understand that if they can control the minds of youth, they can change the future direction of the nation. According to a recent Barna study, only half of the people of faith plan to vote this November. However, according to Troy Miller, Christians have a moral and ethical duty to vote. Troy Miller is president & CEO of National Religious Broadcasters, an organization officially formed 80 years ago in 1944 to advocate for access to the airwaves for religious broadcasters. NRB is a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators to protect the free speech rights of their membership to speak biblical truth, and to foster excellence, integrity and accountability in the membership. Troy began by noting that there are 25 to 30 million evangelicals in America and about one-third of them didn't vote in the 2020 election. That was about 7 million voters in the battle-ground states where such states were decided by small margins. This means there's a large impact when Christians stay home and fail to participate. Also disturbing according to the Barna report is that nearly half of evangelicals don't follow or even know what the major issues are. Is this people simply putting their heads in the sand? Troy indicated that there's so much apathy among Christians because the Christian community has been bullied/shamed into believing that they shouldn't be involved in politics. Some go so far as to communicate that to be involved in politics is to abandon your faith while others call it sin. So it's not so much a case of people shying away from politics but instead it's about people purposely staying away from it.

Dr. Richard Schmidt is pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries. When people use this to buy a particular product, in the corner of the screen, a little box might pop up trying to engage you in conversation. The Harris campaign walked back this claim.
