Will, long with friend Roberta, brother George and George's whole family travel to the Los Angeles County Fair for a day of carnival rides and roasted corn. When the head judge of the homemade pickle contest drops dead, the day becomes a busman's honeymoon. Can Will uncover the killer before the bumbling sergeant assigned to the case ruins it?

Will figures out pretty quickly it has to be someone on set. But who? The leading man? The key grip? Surely not the cook; she makes the best chili Will's ever had. It'll take a bit of wrangling, but, with the help of his sister, Harry - who's a stuntwoman on the shoot, his Homicide Lieutenant brother, George, and a bit of movie magic, he'll get his man.

Who shot George, and why? Will jumps into action before another Ruby can be cut down.
