Through 24 games the Mets are sitting at 14-10 and given multiple circumstances regarding the rotation (Injuries, Suspensions, Failing to go more than 6 innings) we're rather content with their start. After a successful 7-3 homestand where the club swept Oakland, took 2/3 from the Dodgers and then split a four game set with San Francisco - the boys return home for a three game set beginning tonight with the Washington Nationals, followed by a 4 game set with our good buddies, the Atlanta Braves- all of which we'll preview!

We'll also dive into the Max Scherzer incident, the recent struggles of Kodai Senga & David Peterson as well as Carlos Carrasco heading to the IL. We break down the superb start in San Fran by Joey Lucchesi as well as the looming return of Veteran Ace Justin Verlander who looks set to make his Mets debut in Detroit on May 2nd.

There are some concerns as the club heads west as Carlos Carrasco looks miserable and a third of the starting lineup - Canha, Escobar and Nido - look absolutely lost at the dish. We discuss these issues in a bit more detail as well as highlight some early season positives thus far (Alonso, Lindor, Senga, Robertson) etc.

Carlos Correa's deal with the Mets has fallen apart and he has rejoined the Minnesota Twins. We discuss the fall out of Correa heading elsewhere as well as the Mets reported interest in Andrew McCutchen, Trey Mancini, Adam Duvall, Jurickson Profar and perhaps where the club goes from here. 34 days until Pitchers and Catchers report. Carlos Correa still isn't officially a Met...You don't know what's going on, we don't know what's going on but some of the reporters are in the range of 51-55% sure of what's going on. Ken Rosenthal is also reporting the deal will look drastically different after the #Mets had concerns about Correa's Leg, so we're all over the place. We're also questioning whether or not Escobar or Guillorme gets dealt if and when the Correa deal get's finalized so, Come Chop it up with us and let's create hypotheticals and predictions together.

Steve Cohen continues wreaking havoc on the league; this time it's done over a 3 AM martini and a phone call with Scott Boras which led Carlos Correa to becoming a Met. Oh yea since we last spoke Justin Verlander is a Met. So is Kodai Senga. And David Robertson. Oh also, Brandon Nimmo will be a Met for life and Adam Ottavino is returning.
