We believe that it takes a village to raise a child and that we are all deeply inspired by incredible women - they do not have to be our mothers. We have aunts, sisters, grandmothers, dads, best friend's mothers, school teachers, nursery school teachers, next door neighbours,...the list in endless.

"Mothering" Day is all-inclusive and it ensures that the village rises together and leaves no one behind. There are many women who have chosen not to have children and many women who struggle with having children. There are many children too that don't have mothers and the idea of Mother's Day causes them tremendous pain. We've witnessed it first hand.

The idea of Mother's Day (a big money grab day for consumerism) affects many people in a negative way and they suffer with this recognition of 'mothers'.

Let's change it to MOTHERING Day!
