In October 1985, an 18-year-old woman was found shot and stabbed to death on a Salt Lake City street. Her murder has remained unsolved for over 35 years. Why? Herb was an all-American family man. 3 kids, a doting wife, successful business.... from the outside looking in, nobody would have guessed that the skeletal remains of 11gay men he murdered were strewn around his backyard. Larry had a rough life. He was born to a 15-year-old mom addicted to crack and eventually adopted by an abusive family. Despite all of this, he remained courageous and confident in himself. He came out as gay at 10-years-old and began wearing make-up to school in his early teens. Sadly, when he asked a boy to be his Valentine, queerphobia took over. Larry was shot in the back of the head by his crush in computer class.

This is a special episode of Curiosity Killed Nightcat, dropping early for everyone (not just the patrons). Today marks the 5th anniversary of the shooting and hostage situation at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. A total of 50 people were killed including the gunman.
