Since joining the team over at #TheSoundLab Recording Studio, we were immediately immersed into a diverse set of creatives on many levels. One of said musicians is the #Lowell raised producer #DeevoDaGenius ‼️ A former college basketball star, he took that competitive edge from the court and put it into Hip Hop and hit the ground running once he linked up with the likes of The SoundLab’s owner #211 & resident producer/engineer #JRose. Deevo has made a name for himself pretty quickly with his sound and also curation collaborative events like his Genius Camp series and making music with some of the scene’s rising stars. He also has the laugh and energy that will demand the attention of any room!

There are not too many “friends” in the music business, especially the ones who lasted the test of time and witnessed the phony on a larger scale. America loves the reformed gangsta; it’s a story we know all too well within Hip-Hop culture. With the emergence of more Boston bred artists on the national stage, Gio Dee has always been a name thats been able to keep his name relevant and consistently creating with the best of them. With running a predominately guest-based/interview styled podcast, last minute rescheduling and cancellations are a very real thing. Within that same token, booking a last minute guest who we would have to do research on is sometimes impossible. The cool thing about being around so many creatives on a consistent basis is when we actually build genuine relationships with them and no longer need to "look into" them– JUST SIT DOWN & POD!
