  • Episode 82: "8th Wonder of the World" (w/ 8 Zipp)

If you follow this podcast then you know how much we throw it up for certain movements out of Boston. One movement in particular is Shooterz Muzik, a collective of artists from all over Boston but mainly Roxbury– which has most recently been led by the driving force of 8 Zipp! Zipp is no stranger to CWTFB Radio, as he was one of our earliest guests dating back to episode 6, and the 3rd rapper to ever give us some bars for Red Cups And Rap! Almost 18 months and 76 episodes later, 8 Zipp is back and as cliche as it sounds; he's better than ever!

Having wrapped up some legal issues, 8 Zipp began to really capture the MA music scene by one strategy and that was consistency. It does help that he is an exceptional lyricists but we have seen time and time again that talent means nothing if you're not willing to work hard. With the formation of his team and structure from his management, it seems as if the "No Losses" rapper really can't lose! With 2 EPs and a plethora of singles and features, 8 Zipp pulls up to chop it up with KASH and Chizz about his internal growth, some friends being incarcerated, helping other artists who want help, UNITY within the scene despite personal issues, AND MUCH MUCH MORE! This was definitely one of our favorite sit downs of the year and one you don't want to miss!!!

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT 8 ZIPP's MOST RECENT EP "Love, Zipp" OUT NOW ON ALL DSPs & SUBSCRIBE TO THE SHOOTERZ MUZIK YOUTUBE CHANNEL TO TAP IN TO ALL THE VISUALS!!!

  • Episode 81: "Most Known, Unknown" (w/ AK(CTCG) aka Cream Gang Kelly)

The transfer of genuine energy is the basis of what makes any transaction feel good or fruitful. Whenever you come across a solid individual whose morals and values align with yours, you're more inclined to want to see that person win– and at a very high level. These are the exact sentiments we at CWTFB Radio feel for this rap artist out of Academy Homes in Roxbury, AK(CTCG)! AK is one of those guys who has been close to the likes of Jefe Replay, Vintage Lee, Cousin Stizz, and many other successful creatives from the city and many fans have been patiently waiting to see the "VS Everybody" rapper stand next to these names in any venue.

What a lot of fans have said about AK have all been similar along the lines of "we want more work" and Charlie MaSheen & KASH did not shy away from giving him a hard time about it. While giving him his flowers, our hosts also aimed to use this opportunity to show the artist how much support the city is showing him and how he can build from the attention. AK pulls up to the pod with one of his label mates Keezie900 and had a very entertaining and transparent conversation. Join us as we talk about AK's plans for his career, what he feels is holding him back, the Boston music scene and SO MUCH MORE!

  • Episode 76: "Immigrant of the Year" (w/ Caliph)

We often hear that this great country was built on immigration. The first people to name the USA have ancestry from outside of this country and yet in 2021 we still condemn certain people who seek opportunity in this nation. Caliph, a Senegal born/ New Bedford raised artist, has been through some of the ugliest parts of the US's history – all while become a Grammy Award winner and one of MA's premier lyricists!

Not too many undocumented immigrants have the liberty of speaking about their experiences growing up in a community which doesn't understand them. Caliph, being one of the most talented rappers MA has seen in a while gets a chance to express himself in many different ways through his music. Growing up as an undocumented immigrant in the home of one of the most historic parts of Massachusetts has have to be a very challenging and nerve-wrecking experiences. The DACA recipient pulls up on Charlie MaSheen & KASH and dives into his story, his music, struggles in and outside of music, his 3 GRAMMYS, and much, much MORE!!!!

  • Episode 75: "Boston Boy" (w/ Last Days)

When it comes to Boston-based rappers who have made an impact on the city within the last 10-15 years, one of the most respected and revered has to be Last Days. In fact, if you ask some high profile out-of-towners who the man in Boston is, they'll refer to the Dorchester bred, slick talking, flashy & life-loving Dirty Hawks boss himself! We throw it up for Last Days and we're excited that we were able to have this sit down with him since our last #QuarantineSeries talk.

Since Episode 16, Last Days has had a lot going on business wise and musically. The relationship he's built with Griselda/BSF honcho Benny The Butcher has translated into some records from a Jonezy feature titled "Conversation Cost" and a Dirty Hawks/BSF collab "Tradition". The two MCs have some other records in the tuck that we're also dying to hear! Last Days also gave us his latest project titled "Boston Boy" which is arguably his most polished work yet! We brought him on the podcast to discuss the new album, Benny The Butcher's unfortunate incident in Houston, juggling dad life with 2 teenage boys and a growing rap career, and SO MUCH MORE!!!

  • Episode 73: "Head Above Water" (w/ Treva Holmes)

If you're a loyal supporter of this podcast then you know how much we love Treva Holmes on this side! From being the first R&B artist appearing on the show for Episode 22, to showing up as a special guest for our talk with Punky The Singer on Episode 39, and now he's back with another promo run for his latest album "Head Above Water", almost exactly 1 year after he first premiered on CWTFB Radio! (Episode 22 dropped on 6/1/20)

Treva Holmes is an artist who never has to keep his fans waiting since he drops music so consistently. One of his best qualities is when he creates projects, none of them sound the same. Since his last appearance on the pod, he's dropped multiple singles and a project titled "Cold Nights" along with DJ Fab. He left the cold weather and sought out for warm inspiration which led him to "Head Above Water" which is a rich sounding album but also gritty mixed with sexually suggestive music for the ladies. We were really excited about this album so we couldn't skip an opportunity to have another sit down with one of our favorites! Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they welcome Treva Holmes back and they talk about Treva's creative process for the latest project, the inspiration he found in Miami, LA, & Vegas, some comments made by Triy earlier this year, and SO MUCH MORE!
