With Professor X's son David debuting here, this is one of the episodes that hurts when you know a fifth season never happened. Diving deeper into Xavier's past is always fun and knowing about the potential of his son compared to comics and other media, it's a little bit of a kick to the shins. When the biggest villain in the series has been unleashed, let's not address it beyond the cold open. Makes sense to JC and Rod. Instead the X-Men get the cold shoulder from Bayville as the Brotherhood become unlikely heroes (despite being the cause for the original disaster) paired up with the mention of an election. That's not awkward timing at all.
