Former DA leader and current Western Cape premier, Hellen Zille is considering legal steps against the party announcement that she has been suspended. The party's current leader, Mmusi Maimane announced the decision during a media briefing in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg that Zille is suspended from all party-related activities until the disciplinary hearing against her is concluded. Earlier this year, Zille's tweeted what seemed to be expression of support for colonialism, causing a major public outcry.
