  • Danny Glover's Toussaint: Cancelled Movie & Hope To Be Made One Day
"Toussaint," Danny Glover's intended first project as film director, is about Francois Dominique Toussaint Louverture (1704-1803), a former slave and one of the Fathers of Haiti's Independence from France in 1804, making it the first Black Nation in the Americas to throw off imperial rule and become a Republic. In May 2006, the film included had cast members Wesley Snipes, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Roger Guenveur Smith and Mos Def. Production of the cancelled project was estimated to cost $30 million. Thank you Supervoid Cinema for the research and information on what happened and I hope this will spark interest/demand for this important film to be made.

  • Chronicles of a Hip-Hop Legend Chapter 5(Part 2)
On this episode the two things I love is hip-hop & fantasy fiction. Creator D.D. Turner & Chaz Stats merge the two to gives us The Chronicles of a Hip Hop Legend, Paths of Grand Wizardry back in 2010 .  A novel about an extraordinary teen with an extraordinary destiny. I hope you enjoyed  Chapter 1 & 2& 3 & 4 !!!  Here is Chapter 5: The Chronicles of a Hip Hop Legend details the story of a young Cris Alexander Ellison, whom with great pride, overtly claims and supports the culture of Hip Hop. Unbeknownst to Cris, he has a direct genealogical link to an ancient, African, prophetic tribe said to have sown the seeds for the Hip Hop ideal some several thousand years ago. As a result of this unique link to the past, Cris finds himself the sole holder of the freeing key that will release a current Hip Hop from its dwindling existence and place it back on the golden path of resurgence. But up against Roger "Feedback" Cromwell and his Hip Hop for Destruction clan, this will prove to be no easy task. tcohhl #affirmationmatters #representationmatters #dadisnotanoun #dinan #dadisntanoun #DaDNotNoun #podcast #dinan #podcast #podcastersofinstagram #changethenarrative #changingthenarrative #blerdlife #blerd #fresh #dope #hicreativitypodcast #hicreativity #hiphop #fresh #goodmorning #throwbackthursday #tbt #2022 #happynewyear

In addition to his long experience mentoring young men, Cole’s own journey— from growing up fatherless, to becoming a single teenage father, to reuniting with his biological father, to fostering and adopting fatherless sons— gives him rich, first-hand experience of the deep challenges faced by fathers and sons. It is this well of wisdom and insight Cole hopes to share now through a fresh, powerful, comic book series. #dadisntanoun #DaDNotNoun #theblackmancan #blackfathers #blackbabies #blackisbeautiful

took a life of it's own. Where millions of people created their own Don't Rush Challenge version
which exploded over social media with over 237 million views worldwide and one of my favorite is the Easter Black Gay Dads Edition Video created by The Real Dads Of New York because the images redefine idea of fatherhood and one of the dads from the video Dr. Algernon Cargill chatted up with me about Don't rush challenge collaboration and the power of affirmation.

Jason’s professional life extends into multiple industries from over 20+ years of Financial Services, Entertainment, Technology, Small Business Consulting, and Entrepreneurship. Building on top of the Afrofuturism construct coined in the early 90’s by Mark Dery in his landmark essay “Black to the Future,” the convergence of African Culture with science and technology has resulted in Afrofuturism 3.0 (AF3) where we execute on the speculative visions of Afrofuturism 1.0 - 2.0 into the promised technological advances of Web3.0 - that is to say a decentralized environment that represents a digital extension of our physical selves into the future.
Jason Marley and his wife live in Jacksonville, Florida where they are raising their 4 children (1 daughter and 3 sons) spanning different generational ages from 21 (college senior), to 16 (high school junior), to 11 (elementary school 5th grader), to 22 months (toddler). The challenges of raising children, managing a career, maintaining a cohesive marriage relationship and engagement with community via entrepreneurial passion is what keeps him going with purpose beyond my self-interest. Jason is a dedicated father who enjoys coaching soccer, traveling with his family and anything that includes being out on the water. He attributes his awareness and deep sense of community to his upbringing being raised by his mother who taught as a college professor of Psychology and African Diaspora history. Jason grew up in the Lutheran faith where his family has a long history of black Lutheran pastors and church family commitment towards living within God's grace.

  • Huey P. Newton Gun Club Founder Babu Omowale
    #2ndAmendment #Gunrights #HueypNewton #dadisnotanoun
I enjoyed my conversation with ( @babu_omo)  Babu Omowale  Co-founder of The Huey P. Newton Gun Club about the misconceptions of black men & women when it comes to gun ownership. (https://hueypnewtongunclubblog.wordpress.com/)
We the Huey P Newton Gun Club honors our African and Indigenous ancestors who fought and died fighting slavery and colonialism on a worldwide plight. We honor those ancestors who jumped from the slave ships into the oceans rather than serve a wicked oppressor.
We honor the nation of Haiti for being the first to overthrow their captors and all other organized revolutionary action that took place be it successful or not.
We give gratitude and salute the 250, 000 black men who joined the Union army and won our freedom by serving vengeance from the barrel of the gun.
We give special honors to the Tuskegee Airmen who were the best pilots of the war at a time when it was said “black men couldn’t fly planes”. We honor the 761st tankers division the Black Panthers who rained down hell on the enemy from their tanks in battle.
We honor Malcolm X who told us to organize rifle clubs, men like Robert F. Williams the Deacons for Defense as well as the Black Panther Party who stood against white supremacy and the gate keepers of the fascist system, the police.
We will never forget your contributions to society and we continue to teach and spread the ideology of defense to our people.
    BECAUSE OF YOU WE ARE…..
