In the second half of our night with our friends Denver, from Denver and Liely, Brett, the Scotch Trooper, and Brodie from the Empty Glass Resistance, we actually tried to drink some whiskey. Tried being the key word in that sentence. This really was a fun conversation between friends in which we tried a Four Roses pick from Elixir Spirits and a Russell's Reserve from Carother's Wine and Spirits. There are whiskey reviews, but a lot of laughs as well. Hope you enjoy!

If you are looking for a typical Dads Drinking Bourbon episode, this is definitely not it. We were joined by our friends Denver, from Denver and Liely, Brett, the Scotch Trooper, and Brodie from the Empty Glass Resistance for a fun night of random discussions which included some whiskey content and definitely included a lot of laughs. We just hope you sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

In this week's episode, the Dads dive into our listener mailbag and answer some of your questions. Then we review Two Bitch Bourbon's newest release Eureka Gold, that they were nice enough to send us. We follow up with a blind tasting from one of our listeners, although John might have thrown away the original box and needs to figure out who to thank. Zeke gets a special surprise at the end.

In the second part of our sit down with Bernie Lubbers, we finally get to the whiskey. Listen as the group drinks the new, set to be released in the fall, 9 year Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond and compare it to this year's already released 11 year old expression. We also sample another whiskey set to be released in the fall, Parker's Heritage Collection 12.

The Dads are joined by our friends Ryan Yamada from Cooper Spirits and Vinny from Headquarters Beer Cave for an amazing two-part sit down with the one and only Whiskey Professor from Heaven Hill himself, Bernie Lubbers. In our first episode, we talk about Bernie's career, Heaven Hill, the Whiskey Business, and of course spend some time on the topic of pre-fire vs. post-fire.

People have been wondering where Seth Brown and Aaron Cave from the Firewater Review have been. Well the Dads found them squatting in Zeke's attic and decided to bring them, along with Aaron's brother Jeremy, downstairs to review Weller C.Y.P.B. in an epic blind tasting against Weller Special Reserve, Weller, 12, and Weller Antique. We've seen a lot of pictures of C.Y.P.B. out there, but not a lot of open ones. We hope you enjoy! Cheers!

The Dads are joined by our friends Jacob and JR from Spirits Scents in which we learned a little bit more about what they do, drank and reviewed some Old Fitz Bottled-in-Bond 11 year and then reviewed the newest Belle Meade Reserve by doing what we do best, putting it in a blind against other whiskey.

Zeke has been busy lately, and he updates John of all his adventures like a pick at Four Roses and picking some blends at Elixir Spirits. While John and Zeke catch up, they drink two Russell's Reserve picks from the Barrels and Brews crew at Carothers Wine and Spirits, Haters Gonna Hate and Backstage Pass to see which one of these popular local picks they like better.

The Dads were joined by a member of the Dilawri family, owners of Filibuster Distillery in Virginia. Now in 21 states, this craft is redefining rules of what you think of a craft whiskey with their finished offerings at a palatable price point. Join us for a spirited conversation where we learn how they got to where they are while drinking some of their whiskey while we do it!

You asked and we listened. In this episode, we talk turkey... Wild Turkey that is. We did it by having a blind of two picks of Russell's Reserve, one from Flight Club and one from Motor Supply Co Bistro, against a Kentucky Spirit picked by 404 Kitchen in Nashville and plain ol' Rare Breed in a blind tasting. Cheers and Happy 4th of July! 'Merica!
