The Dads are joined by their friend @gideonboley for tastings of Batch 2 of Doc.52, their store's pick and lottery bottle, Crown Royal Blenders' Mash, and a mystery blind side-by-side to review without knowing the answers. In addition, Zeke fell asleep while we recording. You'd understand if you had kids around this age!
Intro/Outro: springtide "Fall Asleep Under the Millions of Stars"
In this week's episode, Zeke tries to use his brain too much by making both of John's blinds much more complicated than they needed to be. Either way, the Dads compared Cooper's Craft to Michter's Toasted Bourbon in a blind and had a second blind of Old Forester Original Batch, Bottled-in-Bond, and Prohibition Blend.
Cheers!

We were joined by one of our favorite guests, Heath Clark, from H Clark Distillery along with Chip and Hunter from Craft Brewed to discuss some good things going on at the distillery as well as Craft Brewed being the first store to have a store pick of H Clark Tennessee Bourbon Single Barrel.
It's a fun conversation and the continuation of a look into an upstart distillery and some the changes they make over time as they're growing!
Cheers! John & Zeke
In this week's episode, the Dads chat about what is the sweet spot in age for MGP bourbon over pours of Blanton's Sliver and Smooth Ambler Old Scout 12 Year. For their Maine event, they put 5 whiskeys from Maine up in a blind tasting. This one has a little something for everyone. Enjoy and cheers!
Intro/Outro: springtide "Fall Asleep Under the Millions of Stars"
The Dads open up some virtual mail and answer questions from the listeners. While they're answering questions, they try out a sample of Balcones that a friend sent them. Then, in true Dads Drinking Bourbon fashion, there is a blind tasting and review of the new limited edition Maker's Mark Seared Bu 1-3 which they put against Maker's Mark Cask Strength and Maker's Mark Private Select.

To say this episode is one of our favorites would be an understatement. Join the Dads as we spend a night with our friends Justin, James, and Dan who just so happen to be the driving force behind one of our go-to Nashville stores, Carother's Wine and Spirits. After discussing some of the thoughts behind how they pick barrels, we tried Black Box Whiskey and had a flight of: Old Carter, Kentucky Owl Rye, and Willett Family Estate Rye.

The Dads are alone for this episode, which is a rare event lately. After talking about some things that have happened recently, they review Matthew McConaughey's first release from his work at Wild Turkey, Longbranch, the only way they know how, by putting it in a blind against Peg Leg Porker 12 year and a dusty Bourbon Hill.
Intro/Outro: springtide "Fall Asleep Under the Millions of Stars"
The Dads are joined by Ryan Yamada, Corporate Mixologist and Brand Educator for Cooper Spirits, for a great conversation about his brands and offerings. Slow and Low is enjoyed from a can before moving into the main event for the night, a blind tasting of 5 rye whiskeys including: Lock Stock & Barrel 13, 16, and 18 years, Hochstadter's Vatted Rye and Hochstadter's Family Reserve Rye. Cheers!
When we say open door policy, we mean open door policy. On this episode, the Dads are joined by our new friend Will @chitownbourbonguy and his fiancee, who just happened to be spending a weekend in Nashville, for a blind tasting of Buffalo Trace products under $40. Zeke has previously spoken out against Elmer T. Lee, will his opinion stay true when it gets put to the test in a blind? You'll just have to listen to find out.
Intro/Outro: springtide "fall asleep under the millions of stars"
The Dads were joined by Sean Josephs of Pinhook Bourbon for an incredibly candid and interesting interview about his story and finding his way into bourbon as well as his brand. What better way to get ready for the Derby than a show dedicated to a brand that names their releases after horses that actually run?! We think you'll like episode as it turned into a really good conversation with a new friend that feels like an old one. PS - John gives his Derby picks at the end since we are a week away!
