If this was a childhood favorite of yours (like it was for Brian...)get ready for something you're NOT ready for. Mostly being your childhood dreams crushed. It's not D.A.R.Y.L or The Dark Crystal.... but ...
We were worried about Chevy Chase. Our fears were unfounded. . . well they were founded in Spies Like Us but Chevy did a solid performance in this one. Irish Dave joins the pod once again to imbue his superior intellect and wit upon Pete and Brian.
Pete and Brian take on the gigantic world of the very, very small with their take on InnerSpace! If you ever wanted to see naked Dennis Quaid butt then this movie is for you!
There can be only ONE! Brian and Pete are joined once again by their Irish neighbor Dave! We get to talk about Egyptians who are also Spanish (or are they Japanese?) but speak with a Scottish accent even though they've only been in Scotland for long enough to NOT know what Haggis is.... deep breath... This is going to be an adventure of EPIC proportions!
It's Jack Flack with a retractable back pack! Ahhhh imaginary friends who tell you to murder people are so much fun. Pete and Brian spend some time with this romp down memory lane about a 10yr old that no one apparently gives a shit about. Seriously, thugs are shooting at him in a park and no one bats an eye. It was the 80s so I guess that explains it.
The movie that might need more of a title. When an opening scroll need exposition guy from the Last Unicorn (a better unicorn movie) then you know you might be in trouble. From the mind of Ridley Scott comes a movie that was essentially the mash up of a cocaine fueled pitch meeting that got green lighted. Oh yeah... it's that good!
Pete and Brian watch the classic Erik the Viking. A Forest Gumpesque earnest bumbling fool of a Viking who's apparently done lots of pillaging and looting but not as much of the raping tries his had at leading a rag-tag band of adventurers to find Asgard and wake the gods ( a wonderful bunch of sever year olds) so they can end the age of Ragnarök. Good luck gentlemen!
Join Pete and Brian as they travel back to 1757 and the wilds of... upstate New York? Albany? War has broken out between France and England and two incredibly ill advised young daughters of a British general single handedly create a 'situation' that gets lots of troops killed. But at least there's lots of smolder and hair. If you've ever wondered if Brian looks like Daniel Day Lewis when he looks sideways.... always looking sideways. Man there was a lot of side-looking in this movie.

Three dads watching movies from our youth and trying to figure out if they hold up, should they be rebooted, and... should we force our kids to eventually watch them.
