Pete and Brian are joined once again by their Irish neighbor Dave for this classic Christian Slater tale of teen angst. There's sooooooo much angst. All. The. Angst.
Is it "Good Enough"? Pete and Brian head down memory lane once again and find out if The Goonies holds up to the sands of time. Is Sean Astin really that good of a motivational speaker? Does pre-Thanos Josh Brolin discover his affinity for gemstones on the quest for One-Eye'd Willy treasure? Is the whole movie one big gag for a porno? So many things to talk about.....
If you have absolutely no skills or qualifications, you should probably apply to the Police Academy! The (stragely accurate?) premise of this Steve Guttengerg gem of a film was a riot to watch (see what we did there?). Pete and Brian delve deep into the mechanics of podium blowjobs and boob quotas at beach party bonfires in this 1984 classic.
The 80s movie for the 80s! So many moments... so many bad fashion statements. We laughed, we cried, we're sorry Ricky's mom blew up. Probably in my top 5 most fun I've had in any episode yet! This one is a must watch for anyone who has nostalgia for the 80s.
Fanboy edition! OMG did we fanboy out to this movie. We tried to be professional... we really did. There were just too many Arnold quips and AWESOME one liners from the entire cast.
Pete and Brian go Canadian! This classic buddy comedy is quintessential Canadian humor that has more throw-away quotable moments than a presidential tweeter feed. I didn't say it was a good movie... but it was darn fun, eh!
The most triumphantly non-heinous incompetent dudes kidnap their way across history to finish a school project that apparently is worth 70% of their grade. Join Pete and Brian along with guest host Angela as they watch this late 80's classic.
Pete and Brian get to listen to Mia Farrow and Jeff Bridges sing a duet. The Last Unicorn is an animated classic from 1982 with the same illustrator as other animated films like the Hobbit and Return of the King. It was a wild ride from Exposition Guy who set up the story nicely all the way to an eruption of unicorns (almost orgasmic one might say). Let's see what the drunk skeleton has to say, he was one of the creepiest parts of the whole flick.
Pete and Brian invite their neighbor, Dave, to join in the fun times while we watch and chat about the 1988 Warwick Davis mega hit, Willow. The largest cast of little people ever. We loved this movie as kids and seriously enjoyed watching Dave try and figure out what the F*@k was up with the chicken dragon that was somehow created a la Gremlin style from a troll who was dropped into water? Yeah... this one got weird.

About Dad's Movie Night
From the publisher's feed
Three dads watching movies from our youth and trying to figure out if they hold up, should they be rebooted, and... should we force our kids to eventually watch them.
