Just when Diana was making Elizabethan London her home, someone is telling her it's best that she leaves! We meet Matthew's boss, William Cecil (nicknamed The Old Fox), and he brings with him advice for Diana; go back to Woodstock, and wait out the incoming storm. That storm has a name: Queen Elizabeth I. Instead, Matthew and Diana choose to stay and weather it with help from members of the School of Night, and Mary -- who arms Diana for battle during an epic closet raid! This is a long episode, so you know what to do. Indulge in shifts, take that extra long walk, or be covered for both ends of your commute! You choose! Enjoy!

Life for Diana and Matthew in the 16th Century appears to be going as planned; Diana is learning new tricks and tips when it comes to her magic, and Matthew is doing what he does to keep the crown, the congregation & the order sated. George enters the scene with some news! He thinks he's found the trail to Diana's book. The trail leads to Dr. Dee's library and the treasures contained within. Meanwhile, in Mary's lab, a major event happening in that batch of prima materia that requires immediate attention!

Character Study - Miriam Shephard

ADOW S1E6

Matthew needs to find Diana ... and so does Baldwin. Their motivations clash in a vampiric display of will. Meanwhile, somewhere in a crumbling castle, Diana has to stave off a determined ('sadistic' is more accurate) witch from getting her secrets. Gerbert is skulking about hoping to get his own time with Diana, and this brings us to alarm because we know what he does to witches (Meridiana, anyone?)! Join us as we watch these events unravel! Also? Hello Sigasmund. From this episode on, you are no longer nameless. We shall call you "Siggie," OK?!

Satu brutally tortures Diana in Gerbert’s isolated castle ruins.
