There is a science to an Olympic gymnast doing a triple flip. There is a science to speaking the language of money, to doing laundry so your clothes stay bright and new. There is a science behind everything. 

Sometimes my Limiting Beliefs tell me the science doesn’t apply to me. I used to believe that my lot in life was to be poor. I rationalized that there were some people who that was their trial, and it must be mine because I couldn’t figure it out.

I now know that was a lie. There is a science and I just had not been to money science class yet I can change if I know the science and the laws the must be obeyed to receive the result.

Christ’s Atonement empowered us to change. Repentance means to turn around. We must face toward the light to receive it. We must go to science class to learn.

Tyrie, on our call today shared a progression sequence: Hope, Faith, Knowing Power.

Faith is expectation of Success. Before we can feel faith, there is hope. Before I could have the faith that I could learn the science behind money, I had to have hope that I was really not as poor as I had first thought. I had to plant a seed of hope that I, too, deserved abundance. To move from hope to faith takes a tremendous amount of courage because we don’t have evidence yet.

Beyond faith is knowing. Action coupled with faith creates evidence of the truth. In my case, the truth was that if I followed the laws of manifesting, I too could receive what I desired. 

When we know, THAT is POWER!

There are levels of faith. Taking steps that build evidence, make it easier to step out in faith the next time. Step by step, not leap by leap. Everyone messes up the first few times and don’t be surprised if you slip back into old habits once in a while. Again – that is the power of the Atonement. God and Christ have granted us infinite do-overs. Knowing this, it is easy to have the faith to change.

• I trust God’s hand in guiding me
• I am successful every day as I walk with God
• I am clear on my path
• God has granted me infinite number of attempts
• I am grateful for the ability to change

I watched the movie “Bruce Almighty” last night for the first time. Bruce, the main character blames God for all his problems and he gets the blessing of being God for a week. He causes mayhem by giving everyone what they want and selfishly defying universal law for his own benefit.

I noticed this morning in my 90 second meditation, that sometimes, some people have to get a ‘no’ answer in order for others to get a ‘yes.’ Also, by consciously choosing to follow natural laws, we get more predictable and positive outcomes.

Some think that finding gratitude within what they currently have, is settling. But I see gratitude as more along the lines of being content. Settling would be wise if we had no power to create anything different. But being content is a positive energy that leaves us open to choose to create something different.

The ‘crabs in a bucket’ analogy is based on people who are not willing or believe they can’t change. It is the victims of the world who can only see suffering as valuable. 

Those who choose to rise above the crabs, get to a place where they see so much more of the world. The top of the bucket shows them more than the insides of a bucket with a bunch of crabs crawling over them.

The interesting phenomenon is that when that crab gets to see all the abundance and opportunity available ‘out there’, the tendency is to want to lower a rope and help the others climb out! There is no more desire to suffer, or to see anyone else suffer.

I share this because many times we choose not to change because we are afraid of what others will think or that we will be different and lose our friends. The opposite is true! When we become more, we have a burning desire to surround ourselves with our friends and help them become more too!

We create our circumstances. But what if we feel something did happen to us, that we didn’t really create it? 

My belief is that I have accountability, even in some small way. If not, I would be a victim and would have no power to change it. It serves me to believe I have the ability to create my life.

We design and build our house. We live in it and feel content with what we have built. Then we have the freedom to remodel when the current floor plan or interior design scheme no longer serve us.

New Ideas to Consider:

• I create my life
• Physical change happens as quickly as I choose
• I am open to change happening quickly, as soon as I am ready to receive it
• I am open to an upgrade

There are a myriad of different ways we can calm ourselves when we are stressed. Some that were shared on the call were:

• Breathing
• Walking barefoot in nature
• Yoga
• Connecting with someone who is grounded and calm
• Choosing a positive state like enthusiasm or patience rather than stress
• Noticing an act of kindness or a child’s smile
• Jumping on our Daily Gratitude Call at 7 am mountain time!
• Go for a walk, physical activity
• Sudoku or other mind puzzles
• Count your blessings
• Escape within a book
• Sleep
• Pray
• Listen to uplifting or spiritual music

What we discovered on the call today is that stress originates from outside. It is pressure from something outside of ourselves. The only time stress affects us is if we choose to allow the pressure to get to us. The same stressor for one person is super easy for another. So it is not an absolute truth that stress MUST affect us negatively.

BE PRESENT!

Our minds can only focus on one thing at a time. If we are focused on something calming and positive, we will be calm and positive. There is only stress when we focus on the negative and the situation that is stressful.

• I am ready for anything
• I calmly and patiently await the next thing
• I am enjoying every moment as it arrives
• I choose gratitude for this moment
• I am excited to see what is next

Today’s Gratitude Call is the epitome of what this Daily Gratitude Call is all about. Share, share, share! We all need to remember the powerful message of today’s call. Thank you to everyone who was on live today and contributed. And thank you to everyone who is listening to this podcast and adding your own thoughts to ours.

I borrow from Christ’s Equity every moment of every day. His invitation to me is the same invitation to everyone else in the world. He invites us to come and borrow what we need in strength, forgiveness, charity, purity…whatever we need. And the contract is that we need not repay.

His Equity is full and always will be. He has no debt and he has the highest possible value of anyone in our Father’s Kingdom. It is never diminished when he shares. In the same way, when we receive of his Living Water, we can give and never be diminished.

I had a neighbor who had an awesome garden. He shared with our family abundantly and I was more than happy to share when I made a pie, jam, cream style corn or anything else from his abundance. We never kept track, there was no thought to debt. We were constantly sharing back and forth and it never felt out of balance. Everyone wins with this kind of giving and receiving. 

We borrow all the time. We borrow strength when we are weak. We borrow ideas and then add to them for our own creations. We borrow light when we lack. We borrow ingredients when we are making a cake and are shy an egg.

We all are living on borrowed time. We have no idea how many days we have left on earth. If our time is borrowed, maybe we should get to work accomplishing our purpose and mission, patching up relationships, checking something off our bucket list.

I am in charge of a community event tomorrow night, a fine arts night where we invited half the city to display their works of art for all to enjoy. I have been orchestrating about 20 individuals on my committee to coordinate musical numbers, finding easels to display the art, food, tablecloths, etc for the past 3 months.

I was super grateful this morning as we focused on supporting structures, for the system of communication and the trust I have placed in my team. I have only had to answer a few texts the past couple of days. Everything is in place and ready to go. And I hardly had to lift a finger. I have been focused on launching my podcast and now my book. 

The supporting structure of a team, allows me to do what I am good at and is most critical to how I serve the planet. 

I feel this is a great tag-along to yesterday’s call: Gratitude for the Wisdom of Experience. Each of us is skilled in different areas. If we tried to do it all ourselves, it would not be nearly as fun or successful!

The Gateway of Charity in my new book “The Seven Gateways to Integrity in Life and Business” talks about getting to know how people are great, and inviting them to participate in what you are creating. By inviting them to support your creation you are giving them a playground to fulfill their purpose!

Supporting Structures can be physical structures that are utilized to strengthen buildings and bridges. Past failures are what inspired engineers to figure out a way to withstand earthquakes, hurricanes and heavy rainstorms. 

Interesting, if a house falls down in an earthquake,  
we don’t just give up and decide to live in a tent, we build a better house! We know our world will get shaken up again at some point and we want to be prepared this time.

There are even methods of building that make a home more efficient to maintain – like building a home so the south windows warm it up during the daylight hours.

Just as a home can be built to be structurally sound and easily maintained, we can build a life the same way, by the habits we foster, the values we teach to our kids, and the beliefs we choose to honor.

There is much vocal opinion in our world as it exists today, about laws and values. I believe many times, ego can dictate making changes on the outside, when what we really need to do is change on the inside. Yes, there are definitely ways we can create more sound structure within government (local, national, and personal). But I submit that aligning with the laws that secure our freedoms as a whole nation and people, is always better than changing a law so that I can be more free in the way I choose to be, without regard to the freedoms of others.

• I align myself with the universal laws of freedom
• I am consistent in building a strong supporting structure than is easily maintained
• I create habits that support me
