Hey hey, rockstars! Welcome back to a Daily Happy moment—your bite-sized joy boost, mood espresso shot, and official permission slip to tackle life like a pro (without needing goat yoga or a week in Bali… unless that’s your thing).
Through my career in brand marketing, politics, product and technology innovation, and now podcasting, I’ve relied on three words of wisdom that never fail me:
Listen carefully. Analyze thoroughly. Act decisively.
It’s simple, but it works. Listening keeps you from solving the wrong problem perfectly. Analyzing keeps you from mistaking opinions for facts. And acting decisively? That’s what separates progress from endless “circling back.”
So the next time you’re stuck, try it: Listen. Analyze. Act. Bonus points if you do it before your coffee gets cold.
What’s your go-to mantra when things get messy? Thanks for listening to Daily Happy Podcast on your favorite site whether it is Amazon Music, Apple Podcast or Spotify and be sure to follow us. Wishing you a bright and happy day!

Hey hey, rockstars! Welcome back to The Daily Happy—your bite-sized joy boost, mood espresso shot, and official reminder that happiness doesn’t have to wait for vacations or mountaintop moments.
Today’s boost? Praise. Giving and receiving praises gives me genuine joy and I hope it gives you happiness.
Praise is one of the simplest gifts we can give—and one of the most powerful. It builds confidence, sparks resilience, and motivates us to keep going. In fact, research published in the Modern Medical Laboratory Journal shows that praise plays a critical role in human motivation.
Here are 3 ways to give praise that stick:
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
“Ah, what happiness it is to be with people who are all happy, to press hands, press cheeks, smile into eyes.”
Let’s spread that kind of joy today—one word of praise at a time. Listen to our podcast on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Instagram or wherever you listen to your podcasts and be sure to have a bright and happy day!

“You got me to hold my hand… You got me to understand…” 🎶
(Let’s be honest, my kids are not wrong when they say I never get the lyrics quite right.)
So here on The Daily Happy, we’re throwing it back to one of my all-time favorite feel-good songs: “I Got You Babe” by Sonny & Cher. But this time, it’s not just a retro jam—it’s a giant thank-you note to our incredible tribe.
You know who you are who have guided the podcast with kindness and love—Andrew, Grant, Jp, Kiki, Shay, Farida, Jen, Jane, June, Marya, Liz, Petra, Sheryl, Sonja, Syd and Rena, and in no particular order: the rest of the large family, our amazing lifetime friends posse, friends from Tennessee High School in Bristol, TN, the gang from TN/VA, my brilliant Bryn Mawr sisters, my business brainiacs from NYU Stern, and our wonderful crew from Coveleigh, the cities of Rye and NYC, HelloCareer Guru Board, colleagues on LinkedIn, the wonderful guest stars and anyone I may have missed and beyond. Whoops, this is starting to sound like a long winded oscar speech–what would my comedic and writer inspiration whispers like Alison, Fran, Kim and Robin say. Seriously, it feels like I’ve got a cheer section spanning zip codes, time zones, and multiple decades of questionable fashion choices.
AND backing this podcast with facts, turns out, science says feel-good music actually boosts dopamine, builds emotional resilience, and reminds us we’re never dancing through life alone—even if we’re dancing in mismatched socks and had to read our podcast script.
So the next time you need a lift, cue up “I Got You Babe,” grab a hairbrush mic, and sing like your Wi-Fi depends on it.
Listen to The Daily Happy on spotify for more joy bites, pop culture pick-me-ups, and the occasional musical thank-you.
And from the bottom of my heart—thank you for being part of this journey. You got me, and I got you, babe. God bless, be safe, much love, have a bright and happy day. XO

This episode of The Daily Happy is powered by wanderlust, imagination, and one seriously underrated film: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Why does it make me so happy? Because it reminds me that we all have a little hero inside us—even if our biggest adventure today is surviving a group text with 37 unread messages and absolutely zero context.
Ben Stiller plays Walter, a mild-mannered dreamer who zones out mid-meeting but ends up living a wild, globe-trotting, dopamine-boosting, emotional-resilience-building journey. And guess what? Science backs that up. Research from the Journal of Positive Psychology shows uplifting movies like this one literally rewire your brain for joy, connection, and purpose.
So consider this your professional development assignment:

Today’s happiness spark? The Book of Joy—yep, that 2016 gem where the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu spill ancient wisdom and dad jokes over tea. These two global icons basically turn joy into a masterclass in resilience, laughter, and deep friendship.
And it’s not just feel-good fluff—science shows that practicing gratitude and compassion lowers stress and boosts happiness. So yes, kindness really is brain food.

Need a new way to connect with coworkers, friends, or your family group chat that thinks karaoke is a personality trait? Try Singing Scrabble. Yes, seriously.
Inspired by Jay Shetty’s focus on connection in a chaotic world, Singing Scrabble combines your favorite word game with a musical twist: when you play a word, you have to sing a song that uses it. Bonus points for creativity—and for staying on pitch (optional). 🎶
Why does this matter? Because laughter + music = oxytocin boost, stress reduction, and real human connection. That’s not fluff—that’s science.
So next time you need a team icebreaker, a family bonding moment, or a serotonin boost after your 6th Zoom of the day, try laying down “Life” and belting out Bon Jovi: “It’s my life… it’s now or never!”

Stuck in endless Zoom meetings that feel longer than a Eurovision finale? Need a break from the serious stuff? Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is your new secret weapon for workplace sanity.
Watching Will Ferrell rock sequins and sing “Volcano Man” is scientifically proven to reduce stress* (*okay, maybe not officially, but it feels like it). Plus, it’s the perfect reminder that sometimes showing up with ridiculous enthusiasm beats perfect spreadsheets.
So go ahead—take a mental vacation, laugh a little, and maybe even practice your Viking dance moves before your next meeting. Your brain (and your coworkers) will thank you.

Welcome to Daily Happy
your bite-sized joy boost, mood espresso shot, and permission slip to smile at strangers without needing a reason.
Today’s happiness boost? Nature.
As it Turns out, your next breakthrough might be waiting... under a tree.
Research shows just 2 hours a week in nature can boost happiness, lower anxiety, and even improve your immune system. A 2019 study with over 20,000 people found that spending time in green spaces reduces stress and depression—even if you’re not exercising. No hiking boots required—city parks and squirrels with attitude count too.
Try a walking meeting, lunch outside, or just stare at a leaf like it owes you money. Your brain will thank you.

Here’s The Daily Happy—your emotional multivitamin and the reason you're smiling like you know a secret.
Today’s joy tip? Singing. Even if your voice is more “shower soloist” than stage star, science says it’s basically therapy with better acoustics.
Singing boosts endorphins, reduces stress, and can literally sync your heartbeat with others. Translation: karaoke night is now self-care.
Plus, Harvard and Yale in a 2008 study found that singing might help you live longer. So go ahead—channel your inner rock star at that red light. Bonus points if you make eye contact.
Sing like no one’s listening… or like the dog can hear you and fully supports your career.
