Have you ever prayed for healing, or for revival in your family, your city, or your nation, without knowing if God would actually say yes? In today's Daily Hope, we look at the prayer of a man with leprosy in Luke chapter 5, and it might be the boldest, most honest prayer in the Gospels.
The man doesn't doubt that Jesus is able to heal him. His only question is whether Jesus is willing. He falls with his face to the ground and says, Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. That kind of faith, faith that keeps praying even without a guaranteed answer, is exactly what Pastor John S. Dickerson says we need as we keep praying for revival, not just for a day, but for the kind of sustained awakening that changes a generation.
We're in the middle of a study through Luke chapter 5, tracing what happens after Jesus tells Peter he'll become a fisher of people. This leper is the first person Peter and the disciples watch Jesus reach. His prayer becomes a model for praying boldly for the things that feel impossible: healing in our land, in our churches, in our universities, in our own hearts.
What's the one thing you're praying, Lord, if you're willing, over today?
