Bill and Melinda Gates Announce Divorce

The Microsoft co-founder and his wife said they would continue to work together at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charitable foundation.

In identical tweets, they said they had made the decision to end their marriage of 27 years.

“We have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives,” they said in a statement. “We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”

Of course, the article is headed with a picture of the couple smiling broadly – as though this was like an announcement that they will be going to Disney Land instead of Disney World. This divorce like all divorces is an act of public violence. But you will not being hearing that in the news. God hates divorce, even the divorce of unbelievers like the Gates because marriage is a creational, public good. We should be praying for the Gates, that God might use this cataclysm in their lives to draw them to Himself. No matter what psychobabble they are listening to, no matter what sexual or emotional idols they are bowing before, no matter how their immense wealth seems to soften the blow, whenever a marriage covenant is broken it tears the souls of individuals. It covers people with violence.

Airlines are beginning to run into passengers traveling with falsified Covid-19 health certificates.

The documents are often the Covid-19 test results required by many countries on arrival. The International Air Transport Association industry body says it has tracked fake certificates in multiple countries, from France to Brazil, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Border control authorities and police forces have also reported arrests of people selling documents in the U.K., Spain, Indonesia and Zimbabwe, among others. 

The problem is hitting international flights more than domestic ones, which typically don’t require certification at the moment. Airlines that are more dependent on cross-border travel, particularly those operating in Europe, are growing increasingly alarmed as they look to the summer, when they still hope demand will start to return. 

The proliferation of fake health certificates is exposing a logistical blind spot, as airlines rush to navigate post-pandemic travel standards and retool their systems to ease compliance—and spur demand. Airlines say their staff aren’t equipped to handle and police all the new health certifications needed and worry the problem will be exacerbated when some countries also start to ask for vaccination certificates.

Speaking of South Dakota…that State, along with Tennessee, Idaho, Arkansas, and Mississippi have placed a ban on transgender athletes in school sports. A ruling by a federal judge to block this hasn’t deterred the State of Alabama from joining those other 5 states. The Epoch Times reported on Sunday that last week…

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed into law a bill that bans transgender student-athletes from competing on K–12 public school single-sex teams that match their gender identity…House Bill 391, was overwhelmingly approved by the Republican-controlled state legislature last week and it  mandates that those who aren’t biologically male or female won’t be able to participate in school-sponsored sports events that are inconsistent with their sex assigned at birth.

Until recently nobody would’ve considered such legislation necessary. It has been common sense and the common practice throughout our history that boys are boys and girls are girls. When it comes to sports, there are boys or mens sports and girls or women sports. 

However, the Biden administration wants to end the common practice in our nation, by obliterating common sense. All with the ultimate goal of trying to wipe out any vestiges of God’s Word on this and all matters. Biden and his cohorts think nobody should be denied access to the bathroom, locker room, or sports team of their own choosing. And they claim these are “rights” that should not be denied. This is the logical end of denying right and wrong, good and evil are determined by God. That rights are from the Lord, not men.  When men believe they grant rights, they can grant them as they deem worthy. Along with that they can deny them as they see fit. 

That has been happening by civil authorities in our country and around the world in appalling fashion for some time, especially in the past year or so; nowhere more profoundly or more wickedly than when governments from the local to national level tell churches if, when, where, and how they meet for corporate worship.

We have seen the extreme levels some are willing to go by witnessing what has been done to Pastor James Coates and Grace Life Church. Thankfully, they have remained faithful amidst the persecution they are enduring. They continue to love God, sing Psalms, and defy tyrants. And, thanks be to God, some governing authorities in the United States also pushing back against such tyranny. 

The US News, in an article by Jack Phillips on Sunday, reported that New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is allowing places of worship around the state to operate at maximum capacity, about a year after the state started limiting capacity because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The change was made in light of recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions that enjoin states from enforcing capacity limits on churches that are more restrictive than other entities like factories and schools…

The move comes after a Supreme Court ruling on April 9 that California couldn’t enforce pandemic-related restrictions on places of worship, prayer meetings, Bible studies, and other affiliated events. It came after faith groups and residents filed lawsuits against Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat.

Supreme Court Hands Down Ruling in Jones v. Mississippi

A Mississippi jury convicted petitioner Brett Jones of murder for killing his grandfather. Jones was 15 years old when he committed the crime. Under Mississippi law at the time, murder carried a mandatory sen- tence of life without parole. The trial judge duly imposed that sen- tence, which was affirmed on direct appeal. This Court subsequently decided Miller v. Alabama, 567 U. S. 460, which held that the Eighth Amendment permits a life-without-parole sentence for a defendant who committed a homicide when he or she was under 18, but only if the sentence is not mandatory and the sentencer therefore has discre- tion to impose a lesser punishment. In the wake of that decision, the Mississippi Supreme Court ordered that Jones be resentenced in ac- cordance with Miller. At the resentencing, the sentencing judge acknowledged that he had discretion under Miller to impose a sentence less than life without parole. The judge determined, however, that life without parole remained the appropriate sentence for Jones. Jones again appealed his sentence, citing both Miller and the then-recently decided case of Montgomery v. Louisiana, 577 U. S. 190, which held that Miller applied retroactively on collateral review. Jones contended that, under Miller and Montgomery, a sentencer must make a separate factual finding that a murderer under 18 is permanently incorrigible before sentencing the offender to life without parole. The Mississippi Court of Appeals rejected Jones’s argument. 

Held: In the case of a defendant who committed a homicide when he or she was under 18, Miller and Montgomery do not require the sentencer to make a separate factual finding of permanent incorrigibility before sentencing the defendant to life without parole. In such a case, a dis- cretionary sentencing system is both constitutionally necessary and constitutionally sufficient. Pp. 5–22. The decision was 6-3, with Kavanagh writing the majority opinion.

Head of Elite School in New York Admits that Anti-Racism Ideology is Demonizing White Kids

Newly released audio appears to show the head of an elite New York City school admitting to a whistleblower teacher that the institution is, in fact, engaged in the systematic indoctrination of its students.

Paul Rossi, a math teacher at Grace Church School in Manhattan, recently slammed his employer in an open letter published by former New York Times opinion editor Bari Weiss, in which he denounced the institution's "indoctrination" of students through harmful "antiracist" training and teaching.

In the letter, Rossi acknowledged that by speaking out he risked his employment at the school, which prides itself on being at the forefront of implementing woke ideology and critical race theory into its classrooms. Earlier this year, the school made headlines after issuing an "inclusive language" guide that warned staff, students, and parents not to assume someone's gender or use offensive terms such as "mom and dad" and "Merry Christmas."

Rossi's fears were proven right only days later when in an email to faculty and staff, the head of school, George Davison, announced that he had relieved Rossi of his teaching duties and barred him from entry into the school building.

Rossi fired back with an open email that claimed that his views were shared by Davison. When Davison denied that, the audio from an alleged conversation surfaced:

As Pastor Toby reported on yesterday, Representative Maxine Waters flew into Minneapolis this past week and was interviewed by the media on the ground. And in her interview, she basically incited violence telling the people that if the Chauvin trail does not go their way, they need to get more “confrontational” in the streets. Well on Tuesday, the republicans put forth a resolution to censure Rep Waters, and what do you know, the democrats voted it down.

Facebook plans to go after Clubhouse — and podcasts — with a suite of new audio products

Facebook wants you to start talking, and listening, on Facebook.

Sources say the social network is planning to announce a series of products — some of which won’t appear for some time — under the umbrella of “social audio” on Monday. They include Facebook’s take on Clubhouse, the audio-only social network that grew rapidly last year, as well as a push into podcast discovery and distribution, aided by Spotify.

Facebook’s audio plans include:

Chicago Mayor Says Rumors of Her Resignation are Homophobic, Racist, and Misogynistic

From REBEL NEWS: Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was the subject of rumours on Saturday when word spread that she intended to resign as the city’s mayor. Lightfoot blasted the unverified rumours, calling the speculation, “homophobic,” “racist,” and “misogynistic.” 

Rumours first surfaced of her possible resignation on social media, speculating that Lightfoot would leave office due to the city’s stalling on releasing the bodycam footage of a police-involved shooting of a 13-year-old, Adam Toledo. 

The next day, rumours flooded social media with claims of a “domestic disturbance” involving Lightfoot, her wife and her daughter. As detailed by the Daily Wire, the unverified allegations misidentified the location and size of Lightfoot’s home. 

The rumours were sparked by Ja’Mal Green, a black activist and former mayoral candidate who is on a crusade to unseat Mayor Lightfoot, in a now-deleted tweet, the Chicago Sun Times reports. 

“Lori Lightfoot is resigning tomorrow in a stunning end to her mayorship,” Green stated in his now-deleted tweet. 

Chicago news outlets were unable to verify the rumour and are unclear where Green received this information from, or if he simply made it up. Lightfoot took issue with the rumours and immediately addressed them on Twitter, blasting them as “homophobic,” “racist,” and “misogynistic.” She called speculation about her resignation unproductive.

“Seriously, though—our city doesn’t have any time for homophobic, racist and misogynistic rumors, today or any day,” wrote Lightfoot. “It’s shocking and disappointing to see some media members and verified Twitter handles are peddling this trash as truth.”

“If people hadn't noticed, we have major challenges in Chicago we need to address TOGETHER,” she added. “This nonsense that some apparently have the luxury of indulging in has not fed one person, stopped the pandemic, housed anyone living on the street or saved one young person.”

Patrisse Cullors has been busy making the media rounds amid financial criticism of the Black Lives Matter Global Network that she co-founded. On Thursday night, Cullors appeared on the Black News Channel (BNC) for an interview with Marc Lamont Hill to set her record straight by addressing the controversy around her organization, her career, the right-wing media that she says is targeting her.

BLM leadership has been accused of not sharing the organization’s recently acquired wealth with activists and other like-minded Black liberation groups. Meanwhile, Cullors, in particular, has been alleged to have gone on a home-buying spree in purported evidence of the lavish lifestyle she allegedly enjoys by profiting off of Black death and trauma.

So about those houses tho?

Oh, ok, I get it…So, they don’t need to funnel money through BLM they can pay you direct…

Apple will reinstate Parler

Apple will allow controversial social media app Parler back onto the iPhone App Store, according to a letter released Monday by Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo.

Apple removed the app in January after Parler was used to publicize the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot when the app’s content featured calls for violence and other illegal activity.

“And so, if they get their moderation together, they would be back on there,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said on Fox News in January.

Parler has updated its app and improved its content moderation, an Apple official wrote in the letter. As of April 14, Apple’s App Review department had approved the changes and an updated version of Parler will be approved by Apple, the letter said.

“Apple anticipates that the updated Parler app will become available immediately upon Parler releasing it,”

The Parler app was not available for download on an iPhone on Monday morning, and Parler didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Apple said it did not coordinate with the other companies to remove Parler.

“Apple made an independent decision to remove Parler for non-compliance with the guidelines, and it did not coordinate or otherwise consult with Google or Amazon with respect to that decision,”.
