Bill Gates is throwing financial support behind the development of a sun-dimming technology that aims to reflect sunlight out of Earth’s atmosphere, thereby triggering a global cooling reaction. 

"Apocalypse Never" author Michael Shellenberger called the idea "bonkers" in an appearance on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Thursday, before warning against the "grossly irresponsible" experiment. 

The Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment, which is being conducted by Harvard University scientists, will study whether spraying a sun-reflecting aerosol, such as non-toxic calcium carbonate (CaCO3) dust into the atmosphere could offset the effects of global warming, according to a Forbes report.

Coca-Cola says it's 'time to find common ground' on voting measures after pressure from the Right

Coca-Cola, whose CEO denounced the Georgia voting bill, is now striking a conciliatory tone after coming under pressure from conservatives.

“We believe the best way to make progress now is for everyone to come together to listen, respectfully share concerns and collaborate on a path forward. We remain open to productive conversations with advocacy groups and lawmakers who may have differing views," the company said. "It’s time to find common ground. In the end, we all want the same thing – free and fair elections, the cornerstone of our democracy.”

Coca-Cola’s Wednesday remarks are notably less confrontational than its previous statements on the Georgia voting law.

Liberal activists had pushed the company to condemn the legislation, with protesters holding a “ die-in” at Atlanta’s World of Coca-Cola last month in Atlanta. Some demonstrators, including a bishop at an African Methodist Episcopal Church, even advocated for a boycott. The company soon came out swinging against the law.

“We want to be crystal clear and state unambiguously that we are disappointed in the outcome of the Georgia voting legislation,” said Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey in a statement earlier this month. “Throughout Georgia’s legislative session we provided feedback to members of both legislative chambers and political parties, opposing measures in the bills that would diminish or deter access to voting.”

Quincey was even more vociferous in censuring the voting law during an appearance on CNBC where he called the legislation “unacceptable” and a “step backwards.”

After Coca-Cola’s denunciation, the pendulum swung back the other way, and the company became a target for those on the Right who were upset about Coca-Cola’s stance on the bill.

Former President Donald Trump called on his supporters to boycott the soft drink manufacturer, among other companies, as did Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky. “Don’t go back to their products until they relent. We can play the game better than them,” Trump said in an April 3 statement.

“Today FDA and @CDCgov issued a statement regarding the Johnson & Johnson #COVID19 vaccine. We are recommending a pause in the use of this vaccine out of an abundance of caution.”

“The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Food and Drug Administration are recommending that the United States pause the use of Johnson & Johnson's Covid-19 vaccine over six reported US cases of a "rare and severe" type of blood clot. One of the cases was fatal and one is currently in critical condition.

The six reported cases were among more than 6.8 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine administered in the United States.

All six cases occurred among women between the ages of 18 and 48, and symptoms occurred 6 to 13 days after vaccination, according to a joint statement on Tuesday from Dr. Anne Schuchat, principal deputy director of the CDC and Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.

"CDC will convene a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) on Wednesday to further review these cases and assess their potential significance," the statement said. "FDA will review that analysis as it also investigates these cases. Until that process is complete, we are recommending a pause in the use of this vaccine out of an abundance of caution. This is important, in part, to ensure that the health care provider community is aware of the potential for these adverse events and can plan for proper recognition and management due to the unique treatment required with this type of blood clot."

“The Biden Administration did a terrible disservice to people throughout the world by allowing the FDA and CDC to call a “pause” in the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. The results of this vaccine have been extraordinary but now it’s reputation will be permanently challenged. The people who have already taken the vaccine will be up in arms, and perhaps all of this was done for politics or perhaps it’s the FDA’s love for Pfizer. The FDA, especially with long time bureaucrats within, has to be controlled. They should not be able to do such damage for possibly political reasons, or maybe because their friends at Pfizer have suggested it. They’ll do things like this to make themselves look important. Remember, it was the FDA working with Pfizer, who announced the vaccine approval two days after the 2020 Presidential Election. They didn’t like me very much because I pushed them extremely hard. But if I didn’t, you wouldn’t have a vaccine for 3-5 years, or maybe not at all. It takes them years to act! Do your testing, clean up the record, and get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine back online quickly. The only way we defeat the China Virus is with our great vaccines!”

Fauci ‘not sure’ why Texas doesn’t have COVID uptick after nixing masks

It’s been some five weeks since Texas lifted its mask mandate, and there has yet to be an explosion of COVID-19 cases.

It’s something Dr. Anthony Fauci can’t quite explain.

“I’m not really quite sure,” he told MSNBC this week. “It could be they’re doing things outdoors.”

Daily cases in Texas hovered above 7,000 in early March, when Gov. Greg Abbott lifted the state’s mask rules, leaving it up to individuals and organizations to make their own decisions.

Now, according to the Centers for Disease Control, new cases of COVID-19 are under 4,000.

Fauci noted there can be a delay in how and when cases manifest.

“Often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect of what you’re doing right now,” he said.

“I hope they continue to tick down. If they do, that would be great but there’s always the concern when you pull back on methods — particularly on things like indoor dining and bars that are crowded — you could see a delay and then all of a sudden tick right back up,” he said.

“We’ve been fooled before by situations where people begin to open back up. Nothing happens and then all of a sudden several weeks later things explode on you, so we’ve got to be careful we don’t prematurely judge that,” he added.

President Biden had slammed the decision to ease the state’s mask mandate as “neanderthal thinking.”

“Governor Tim Walz’s “Stay Safe Plan” remains in force. The order limits indoor social gatherings to 15 people (outdoor gatherings to 50). Social distancing “must be maintained” when people from different households gather. Many businesses, such as restaurants, operate under capacity limits (both indoors and outdoors). Masks are required virtually everywhere indoors.

Despite these restrictions, Minnesota is seeing a surge in coronavirus cases. On March 2, the day Texas announced it was lifting all pandemic restrictions, Minnesota’s daily case count was at 425. A month later, on April 2, that number had swelled to more than 2,500.”

In Michigan, CNN reports that state statics show its case count hit 9,350 on Saturday, the highest since December 7. Its 3-day rolling average on April 4 was 6,995.

On behalf of Grace Life Church, we would like to state the following:

Grace Life Church appreciates the public outpouring of support to fully open churches in Alber. Grace Life Church congregants were not at the protest that occurred on Sunday, April 11, 2021 near the Church’s facility. Grace Life Church recognizes the place for peaceful protest within the context of a democracy.

Grace Life Church has no control of our Church or grounds at this time. The Church grounds are fully under the responsibility and control of the RCMP and Alberta Health Services. The closing of the Grace Life facility has understandably resulted in significant public outrage and caused even larger crowds to gather in one place. Albertans have a constitutional right to assemble, associate, and worship. By taking the measures the government has, while the matter is still pending before the Courts, the Alberta Government has created an even more divisive situation.

It is time to end these unscientific, unjustified and arbitrary lockdown measures.

GraceLife Church in Edmonton, Alberta was raided by Canadian authorities on Wednesday after the church had refused to comply with senseless COVID-19 edicts that trample upon the rights of Christians to worship. 

They also fenced off the property in an attempt to keep Christians from being able to venerate Jesus as their savior. The church is led by Pastor James Coates, who has already served 35 days in jail because of his defiant stand against public health tyrants.

Have you read my friend, Steve Deace, his book called the Faucian Bargain? It was number one on Amazon, and then Amazon started to digitally burn the book. 

According to Molly Powell of National Review, she recently went to Amazon and searched for the Facian Bargain in the search box, and to her surprise no results came up. 

“What the search engine returned to me was many pages of other products, but Deace’s book was nowhere among them. I looked through all seven pages of results. Amazon took the words in my search bar and converted them into something I was not looking for, “faustian bargain”:

I tried the search again, typing in “faucian” and letting the search field autofill as “faucian bargain by Steve Deace.” What showed up was exactly two items: two pieces of furniture.

Molly goes on to “You may notice that Amazon offers the search term that I typed as an option in very small blue print  beneath what Amazon initially directed me to. I repeated this search in multiple browsers and in “ghost” mode. Same thing happened.”

Major League Baseball Announced It would be moving the All Start Game out of Georgia as retribution for the new Georgia Election Law

On Friday, Comissioner Rob Manfred said that the MLB was relocating the all-star game and draft because it was “the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport.”

“Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views,” Manfred said in a statement. “I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft.”

Two days prior to the announcement, the league extended a television deal with state-owned Chinese tech giant Tencent on Wednesday. The new deal grants Tencent the rights to stream MLB games to a number of Asian countries until 2023, according to Fox News.

“Your sports league might be a little too woke if it will freely do business with Communists in China and Cuba, but boycotts a US state that wants people to show an ID to vote,” Paul wrote.

From Disrn News: After Major League Baseball (MLB) announced the decision to move their annual All-Star Game from the state of Georgia in protest of its new voter integrity law, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) invited the league to host the event in New York.

Some have blasted Schumer for his statement, noting that the state he represents actually has voting laws that are far more restrictive than those in Georgia.

The New York Post actually noted that the Empire State has eight less days of early voting than Georgia, and unlike Georgia, New York demands voters produce an "excuse" if they wish to vote absentee.

Meanwhile in Congress…

"Get woke, go broke" has become an anthem for critics of Major League Baseball's decision Friday to pull its All-Star Game and 2021 draft from Atlanta in protest of Georgia's new election integrity law.

But perhaps the most condemning response to the organization's decision is coming not from fans but from Congress.

Rep. Jeff Duncan, a Republican from South Carolina, said Friday that he plans to introduce legislation that will remove MLB's antitrust exemption after Commissioner Rob Manfred announced the Georgia move in response to the passage of state Senate Bill 202.

Firing back at the MLB commissioner, Duncan announced his own plans for retaliation.
