Praise God! And a wonderful Thursday morning to you in the name of Jesus.

We are still talking about the complexities of conviction and I trust God in the name of Jesus that you are having victory over all the complexities that are trying to drown your conviction in Jesus name.

We will read the book of Luke 22:31-34 & 60-62 (NLT). 

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.” Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.” But Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me”. 

Verse 60-62

"But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly".

It was the Passover, Jesus was having this last Passover with His disciples and He was telling them about the fact that He was going to the cross and it was going to be a very difficult season for them and all of them will be offended because of Him, all of them will deny Him. Then Peter said "Jesus, No matter what happens, I am the rock; You call me the rock . I am going to be with you through thick and thin even if it means dying with you". Sometimes during that night, the temple guards came. Judas betrayed Him. They picked Jesus up and they set Him through a trial and Peter was watching everything that was going on from afar and he was seeing the way the situation was going. He was shocked and confused. So many things were going  on in his mind and his conviction began to wane.

Someone came to meet him He said  "You were with him " He said " I was never with him." Then a little girl came and asked same question. Peter swore that he had never seen Jesus neither had he worked with Him before. Another man came and said "Listen; You are a Galilean, even your tongue, the way you speak gives you off, you know this man." Peter swore with everything that he had never seen Jesus and he did not know Jesus before at that time the cock crowed and He remembered what Jesus said to Him.

What made Peter speak at sometime before that, just a couple of hours and say "I will never deny You! I will die with You and few hours later he had denied Him? It was the things he was seeing. The situation before him and how he was interpreting it. It was working on his mind and remember we said  "A man of two minds will not receive anything from God." His mind began to swing from the things he had heard about Jesus, the things he had known about Jesus to the things he was seeing and he just couldn't get it and his faith began to fail and went out completely.

 We must watch the things that are going on in our mind. We must watch the things that are going on around us. That's why the Bible says " A double minded man  is unstable."  We must protect our mind. We must guide it from the confusion that comes from doubt, fear and worry. The moment we are able to do that, we will find out that out faith will rise over the complexities of this life.

It is important we work on our faith, it is important we work on our conviction. That is the way to rise over the complexity.

May the Lord's strength and grace available for you today.

Wednesday 16th September, 2020. 

Hello and a lovely Wednesday morning to you in the name of Jesus.

We thank God for today and we thank God for His grace and help. You know one of the things God gave us at creation is freewill. He gave us a will. He gave us the ability to think freely. He gave us the ability to choose. He put man in a garden and He put everything there and He puts a tree there. He said " Man! don't eat of this tree, you can choose to eat it or not but listen; my advice to you is this; Don't eat out of it! so of all the things that God gave man, the Human will  is one if the most powerful things and it's swings anywhere we want it to swing. You can either swing it in the direction of the will of God and the mind of God or you can swing it in the direction of the will of man or the mind of man. Since the fall, that's what we have being dealing with. Swinging our mind to the will of God  or swinging it to the will of man, swinging to following the mind of God or following the mind of man.

In Matt 16, Jesus was rebuking Peter. He had said " Listen; I am going to the cross, I am going to die, I am going to come back to life  three days later. Peter was rebuking Him and He said to Peter  "Get behind me Satan! Because your mind is not on the things of God but the things of man". The human mind  like a pendulum begins to swing through two minds and it's either the mind of God or the mind of man and this is what causes confusion, doubts  and what we call the " complexities with our conviction" 

 James 1: 6-8 (NKJV) 

 "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways".

A double minded person is unstable in everyway and such a person will receive nothing from God. The will, the human will is that pendulum that swings from left to right, from conviction to confusion, from conviction to doubts and these are the things that create tension, frustration, stress and complexities with our faith.

Oh! will God do it? Will He do it on time? How about if he doesn't do it? Am I sure? What if God? And we just keep swinging left and right, to and fro and the Bible says "The man who does these is like the wave if the sea, driven by fear, anxiety, worry and tossed up and down. The mind keeps going up and down and these are the complexities with our conviction and what God is saying is this, I want you to be free from such complexities.

How do we do it? The Bible says " it is good for the soul to be established in grace". God wants your mind, soul to be established in His grace, help and word. And I pray in the name of Jesus whatever is causing the complexity, whatever us causing your mind to swing, it will stay settled on God's word in Jesus name.

May your mind be fixed on the things of God, may your mind be fixed on the things of Christ and may you see the things that you desire in the name of Jesus.

Tuesday 15th September,2020 .

A lovely Tuesday morning to you in the name of Jesus.

 We are still talking about the complexities around conviction. The complexities of conviction. Yesterday, we started and spoke about this man who brought his son to Jesus and Jesus said "You know what? If you have faith all these things are possible to him who believes" and he said "Lord I believe but help my unbelief!" 

The question is this; How do you have belief and unbelief at the same time? How do you have faith and doubt at the same time? and the truth is this; Doubt is the confusion that's surrounds our conviction. Because every time God tells you to do something, there will be things around that will make you believe or make you think that what God has said to you is absolutely impossible.

So He says to Abraham at age 75 when his wife was 65, He said " You will have a child, it didn't happen and Abraham was wondering and at 99, God came again and said " You know what? This time next year, you will have a child" and Abraham was like "how can I have a child when I am old and Sarah's womb is dead? "He was going to exercise his conviction but there were  lots of confusing things around it and those confusing things are the things we call "doubt" they are the things that instigate doubt, they are the things that push out doubt.

 We will read Gen 22: 1-4 (NLT)

"Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!” God called. "Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.” “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.” The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son, Isaac. Then he chopped wood for a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had told him about. On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance".

God had told Abraham, it is through Isaac you will have this great nation. The promises I have for you will come through Isaac then God comes one day and says "Go and kill Isaac!" But what God doing was doing was that he was testing Abraham's faith, he was testing Abraham's conviction and God said " I will show you where you are going to sacrifice this son but it is going to take three days " and I asked a question, why three days? What do you think was going through the mind of Abraham in those three days? I am sure his mind must have been bombarded by all sorts, doubts was knocking, confusion was there, all sorts of things were there and the truth is this; As human beings, there is nothing wrong with doubts knocking the door. There is nothing wrong with being confused as long as you don't open the door to doubts and confusion when they are knocking and for three days Abraham's mind was "what will I tell Sarah? How about if I kill him and he doesn't come back to life? How about if he comes back to life? but God said "He was going to be the son through whom he is going to build a great nation".

All those questions were coming up and that is what brings about the complexities around conviction. Understand this; Every time you are building your conviction, there will always be  confusing situations around but what  God wants us to do is focus on what He has said and we will prevail.

 I trust God that no matter what is causing you doubts as you stay focused and allow your conviction to rise, you will rise  above the complexities and you will walk in victory in Jesus name.

Hello and a lovely Monday morning to you in the name of Jesus.

Thank God for today. I am sure you are having a good time and I trust your work week will be great in Jesus name.

We have been talking about the power of conviction and throughout this week, we will be talking about the complexity of conviction. If you have had anytime you have been trying to get your conviction to focus on something, you get it rooted in God. You are trying to focus it or point it at something you want to move, you will understand that there are complexities that come with our conviction.

Jesus told Peter once. He said "Peter before the cock crows once you would have denied me". Peter said " I will never do it". Jesus said "you know what it will happen but I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail". What was Jesus saying? He said "when the challenges come I have prayed for you that your conviction will not be consumed by the challenge". Those are the complexities of conviction. Sometimes, we are sure we are going to do things, but when the challenges are face to face with us, we sometimes collapse and that's what we mean by complexities of conviction.

So we read this morning Mark 9:23-24 (NKJV) "Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"

This man had a challenge; his son. He was dealing with a serious case of epilepsy he had brought the child to the disciples they couldn't do anything about it. Jesus said "if you believe, if your conviction is unshakable then all things will be possible for you. The man said "Lord Jesus I believe! My conviction is strong he said "but you know what; Help my unbelief". 

What the man was saying is this; I am dealing with conviction and confusion. I am convinced that you will do this but I am also confused at the same time; and these are the complexities with conviction. Sometimes you believe oh! I have this down. I am sure this will happen but the next moment you are in doubt again.

Apostle Paul was talking about this in Romans 7:21 (NKJV) .He said "I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good".

What was Paul talking about? I want to do good, I want to exercise my faith but there is confusion. There is doubt and he said "it is like a law that when good is present, evil is also present" and these are the things that form the complexities about conviction.

Our conviction is our faith, our certainty and all that but the complexity is this; that the same time we have faith, just sometimes around we are also confused, we are not sure and things just happen. If we are not careful we mess everything up. But it's God's will that we are able to master our faith, the complexities during the time of our conviction and build it to the point where our conviction prevails.

My prayer for you is this; that no matter the complexities around your conviction, you will prevail above the complexity and you will stand in faith in Jesus name.

 Sunday 13th September,2020. 

Hello and a lovely Sunday morning to you in the name of Jesus.

I don't know how it is in your own city, but in my own city - Lagos we are having a gradual opening up and I pray in the name of Jesus it is an open season for you in the name of Jesus. Things are opening up and "open your mouth wide" the Bible says and I will fill it. He will fill our lives with good things  in Jesus name.

Open your mouth and   declare what God has said about you in His Word. Declare what he said about your life, family, health, finances, city and nation. All His promises are Yes and Amen! but you must open your mouth and declared them. If our government can open up the city even in the face  of a global pandemic, we can open our mouth, we can open our mind and expect great things and we will see great things in Jesus name.

Your conviction, my conviction is conquering in Jesus name.

Mark 11:22-23(NKJV).

 22. So Jesus answered and said to them "Have faith in God" 23.For assuredly I say to whosoever shall say to this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 

Take note of this in verse 22, it says "Have faith in God".

We spoke about that last week that the first place we develop our conviction is in God. We must root our conviction in God. Jesus starting the process, says "You want to move things, you want to have things happening in your life, first of all ,"Have faith in God".  Faith is conviction, get your conviction rooted in God first. Verse 33 says " Then point it to the  mountain, and say to this mountain, - ' be moved. Get out of my way ,be removed and cast into the sea" And if he don't doubt in your heart but believe,  those things he says will come to pass he will have whatever he says,

God says get your faith rooted, get your conviction rooted and get it pointed at the problem, at the challenge, and holdfast to it.

I want us to make a few declaration today. Just say after me; 

"Every mountain of sickness and disease I command you to move in the name of Jesus. Every mountain of finances,  debt, fear, economic crisis,I command you be removed and cast into the sea in the name of Jesus. I declare my relationships are peaceful, wholesome and thriving in Jesus name. I declare the favour of God is on my life. I declare His power is showing in me in the name of Jesus. I declare I am blessed in my going out, I am blessed in my coming in. I am preserved,  I am protected in the name of Jesus. 

I declare according to God's Word I am not afraid of bad news why?  My heart is fixed. I trust and I have my conviction in God. The lines are fallen unto me pleasant places. I have a goodly heritage. God is crowning this year for me with His goodness and my path is dropping with abundance.The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places upon my nation, city, through the blessings of the righteous the city is progressive. I declare my city, my country is progressive in the name of Jesus. I will not die but live to declare the works, the grace and the power of the living God in my life. So shall it be in Jesus' Name.

I declare all you have said today by faith and by your conviction in God ears are  confirmed in your life.

A great morning to you in the name of Jesus, thank God for today we pray that it’ll be a season of rest, it’ll be a season of refreshment and recreation for you in the name of Jesus. 

Conviction that conquers, that’s what we’ve been talking about and I trust God and I pray your conviction, your faith will continue to conquer in the name of Jesus. The bible says whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world  our faith and remember our faith is our conviction. 

The bible says in the book of Hebrews 11:11(NKJV): By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, why? because she judged Him faithful who had promised.

I pray in the name of Jesus just as God brought Sarah in line, made her relevant and turned her story around God will do the same for you in the name of Jesus. As many who are saying it’s too late for you, that you’ve gone past time, you’ve expired that certain things cannot happen for you again because you should have done them much earlier. I pray in the name of Jesus just as God turned things around for Sarah brought her in even though she was counted out the same God who rules all, who is the same today, yesterday and forever will do the same for you in the name of Jesus.

But it’s important we remember where Sarah was coming from. This is the Sarah that doubted God’s ability so much and convinced her husband to have a child through her servant girl Hagar, it was the same Sarah that laughed in unbelief when God promised that she’ll have a child for Abraham. God said "Sarah you laughed, she said no I didn’t laugh and God said you know what? You laughed and I’ll make you laugh. This time next year my word will come through for you".

How did Sarah move from that place of unbelief, how did she move from that place of mocking God’s Word to the place where she believed in God’s ability. The bible said she judged God faithful. She interacted with God and she began to focus on His promises and the reality of the promise of God began to grow in her heart.

The bible says she judged Him faithful, she built her conviction in God first. We've spoke about how we have to root our conviction in God first. The moment she judged God faithful she pointed her conviction to her own inabilities - inability to give birth, inability to perform at an old age, they said her womb was dead but she just focused her conviction in God's ability  on her inabilities and the same woman who was counted out was brought back into the game!

Today she is remembered as the mother of many nations. She had this child at an age that nobody could believe. 

I pray for you in the name of Jesus  that you will focus your conviction in God on those challenges. Get them rooted in God. God can be trusted and as you fellowship with Him, stay around Him, you stay around His word and stay off negative people, negative views or  anything that weakens your conviction. As you stay around God your conviction will begin to grow. As your conviction grows you’ll find out whatever you call disabilities in your life, God will conquer them with His own abilities and you find out that God too can be judged faithful.

Hello and a lovely Friday to you in name of Jesus. 

We thank God for His love, we thank Him for everything He’s doing , has done and what He will yet do.

We’re moving on in the month of September and we Thank God for grace. We’re still talking about conviction that conquers and I trust God that your conviction is conquering every single day in the name of Jesus.

We’ll be reading from Genesis chapter 22 :7-8 (NKJV) “ But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.”

Now we remember this in story. God was testing Abraham, testing his conviction. He said ".. go and sacrifice your son..."He made it very clear “your only son Isaac that you love; go and sacrifice him on a mountain I will show you." So Abraham took his son Isaac and two of his servants with him and they went on a 3 day journey to Mount Moriah were he was to sacrifice Isaac. When they got to a point, he said the servants should wait behind while himself and Isaac go for the sacrifice “Wait for me, myself and my son will go and sacrifice and we’ll come back to you”. As they were walking up to this place Isaac asked a very intelligent question, he said “Dad I can see the wood, I can see the fire, where is the sacrifice?” and Abraham said something that is very very important to us when it comes to overcoming challenges, when it comes to conquering with our conviction. He said “God will provide for Himself the lamb”

When we come face to face with life challenges and we want our conviction to conquer it's important our conviction is based solidly on what God has said. We cannot base our conviction on some fickle desire, we cannot base it on feelings, we cannot base it on hearsay, it must be based solidly on what God has said. Abraham knew that Isaac was not his idea, Abraham was minding his business at age 75 when God came up with this idea of building a nation through him, He went further when he was 99, God told him he he would have a son.

So Isaac was God’s idea, so when He said go and sacrifice him Abraham was completely convinced based on what he knew about this God - he knew God would provide the lamb because Abrams was assolutely sure  he was going back home with Isaac.

It’s important our conviction is built on the word and we keep remembering it. When challenges come It’s easy for us to forget what God said. But the more we keep reminding ourselves of what he has said and focus on it. It solidifies our conviction, builds it strong to the point we consistently work in victory and conquer.

The bible says in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ.

So I pray in the name of Jesus as we go into the weekend, victory on every side, you’re more than a conquer no matter what happens. Always remember what Gid has said to you.

 Thursday 10th September,2020. 

Hello and a lovely Thursday  morning to you in the name of Jesus.

I trust God that you are exercising your conviction. You are putting it to work. Yes! We have learnt how to take our conviction and root them in God.

This week is focusing our conviction on  whatever represents a challenge, whatever represents a mountain, whatever represents a Goliath before us, focusing our conviction on them until they are conquered.

Remember we said our conviction must first be in God. After we have rooted our conviction in God and in His word, we focus it on whatever the challenge maybe before us and I want to trust God you have been focusing your conviction on whatever challenge is on your way.

Today we will be reading from the book of Heb 11:17-19 (NLT) 

17 "It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, 18 even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” 19 Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead".   

Heb 11:19 (NKJV)

'concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.'

God had told Abraham "Go and kill your son". Take him to the mountain Moriah and sacrifice him there as a burnt offering for me. Abraham was absolutely convinced. He didn't know how it was going to work. He didn't know how God was going to do it but his focus once he took Isaac there was that "Isaac will come back home alive with me". How God will do it, he didn't know but he simply focused his faith on the fact that Isaac will come back.

Abraham knew from experience that conviction or faith releases God's ability. You do not know how God will do it but whatever it is God has said, the moment we release our faith out there and we keep it focused on what we want. God has a way of coming through for us.

The Bible says "Abraham concluded". What does the word "Conclude" means? It means Abraham settled it. It was a forgone conclusion. Abraham knew that someway, somehow Isaac was coming back home with him. He didn't bother to tell his wife 'Sarah' that I am going to sacrifice Isaac because there was no point. He knew that Isaac was coming back.

If you read the story in General 22,he told  his servant that followed them. He said "You know what my son and I are going to worship there and we will come back  again to meet you".

He was absolutely convinced that death was going to be conquered and was coming back alive with his son. 

I declare in the name of Jesus as you focus your faith upon soundness of health, peace, promotion or what ever it is God has promised you. You will receive that in the name of Jesus. Your faith is conquering and Jesus will be glorified in your life

Wednesday 9th September 2020. 

A wonderful Wednesday morning to you in the name of Jesus. 

We thank God for everything and we are still talking about conviction that conquers. Understand this; it's God's will for you, it is God's purpose for you to be victorious. That is God's will for you, that is God's purpose for me. The Bible says in all this things we are more than conqueror through what Christ has done for us and our faith is that which connects us to God's ability to give us victory and help us conquer in life. The last few days we will be looking at the life of David and how David focused his conviction on conquering Goliath and Goliath came down. David was absolutely convinced. He was so sure and unwavering in his conviction that God was able to deliver Goliath into his hands and that God will. He was absolutely fearless in the face of Goliath's threat. Goliath was threatening him. Goliath said "I am going to kill you" and said all that.

The king was trying to discourage him, the king said "listen; David you are not equipped, you are not experienced, you are not as competent" and David said "Yes! I know I am not as equipped, I am not as competent, I am not as experienced but I have conviction in God.

 And this is what David said in 1 Sam 17:32&37 (NKJV).

"Then David said to Saul "Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine. Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine" 

David was convinced, his heart was full of conviction. Yes! He did not have the competency or the experience, but his heart was full of conviction. He had gotten rid of fear, he had gotten rid of every form of confusion and he was sure, absolutely sure in God's ability to bring down Goliath.

The truth is that every time there is a heart full of conviction and a hand full of experience. The heart of conviction will always win. If you have all the experience, ability but you have fear in your heart, you are not convinced of God's ability in you. You are not convinced of your own ability, understand your chances are very slim.

The Bible says concerning the children of Ephraim it says "Being armed with bows and arrows, they turned back in the days of battle. Why? There was something wrong in their hearts. Even though they looked equipped because there was no conviction in their heart. In the face of challenges, they turned back.

I pray in the name of Jesus your hearts will be flooded and filled with conviction in the name of Jesus. You will rise and point your conviction against whatever the Goliath that is facing you. 

And in the name of Jesus, no matter what it seems to be against you because of conviction in your hearts you will prevail in Jesus name.

Tuesday 8th September, 2020.

Hello! Lovely Tuesday morning to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for all He is doing for us and we thank God for all He will continue to do in Jesus name. It is important our hearts are expectant. It is important our faith is out because God is set to do great things in our lives in  the name of Jesus.

We are still talking about conviction. The power of conviction to conquer in our lives and we are focusing on our conviction that conquers. In this week, we are looking at the place of conviction in bringing victory in our personal life.

We said last week and we spoke about the fact that there are two dimensions to our conviction. The first dimension is; Having conviction in God, in God's ability to deliver, to heal, to strengthen, to show us favour and love. We started yesterday talking about the second dimension of our conviction that's after we get our conviction rooted in God. The next dimension is that; we need to focus, direct and point our conviction to that challenge that is standing before us so we can conquer it. 

We read in 1 John5:4 (NKJV) 

"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith" 

If you want your conviction to have victory over anything, then you need to focus your conviction on that thing you want it to conquer.

We saw in the life of David that Goliath was trying to harass them for forty days. He was saying all sorts and intimidating them but David rose up to it. He focused his conviction on the fact that he knows his God will deliver Goliath into his hands and God did exactly that.

 I Sam17:32-37 (NKJV) says "Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine. "And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. "But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!” 

Goliath was a present challenge to the whole nation of Israel. He was intimidating them. He intimidated everybody including David's elder brother, the captain of the army, generals and the king himself.

It is one thing to hear about conviction and Faith. It is another thing to stand in the face of challenges and watch your faith work and that is what David did. He stood on his ground focused his faith on Goliath and in the face of that challenges his faith conquered.

I pray in the name of Jesus as you focus your faith,  your conviction on whatever that challenge is just as Goliath came down. It will come down before you in the name of Jesus.
