You Have It, Use It. 4

As believers in Christ, we must recognize and use the gifts God has given us. Through the finished work of Jesus on the cross, we have received His Spirit, His Word, His Name, and His Blood—each carrying divine power. And we grow in our understanding of these things as we stay in fellowship with the Holy Spirit Who is the custodian of all God’s blessings. The Holy Spirit is not just holding these things in custody for nothing, they are in His custody for our sake and we bring honour and glory to Him as we use these things as we bring joy to our world.

Another significant gift God has given us through Jesus Christ is His Blood. The blood of Jesus was poured out on the cross for our salvation. This blood not only paid the price for our sins, gave us eternal life but it also established us in the new covenant—a binding relationship with God. This blood covenant frees us from the hold of the devil to walk in the liberty of Christ.

Zech. 9:11 MKJV You also, by the blood of Your covenant I have freed Your prisoners out of the pit in which is no water

The blood delivers us from spiritual, physical, mental or any kind of satanic bondage. Unlike the sacrifices of animals, Jesus’ blood is once and for all and is everlasting.

Luk 22:20 MKJV In the same way He took the cup, after having dined, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is being poured out for you.

His blood is the foundation of the new covenant. This covenant is an ongoing relationship that grants us access to God’s blessings. Each time we partake in Communion, we reaffirm our covenant with God. By pleading the blood, we activate its power in our lives—bringing protection, deliverance, and provision.

Believe in it, use it and walk in the victory it provides.

You Have It, Use It. 3

Every benefit God has given us through redemption is already ours, but unless we use them, they remain ineffective. No matter how miraculous or life-changing these gifts are, they bring no benefit if left unused.

Another great gift God has given us is the authority to use the name of Jesus.

Act 4:12 TPT There is no one else who has the power to save us, for there is only one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation: the name of Jesus.”

This is the only name approved by God to bring salvation, healing, transformation and access to heaven’s resources.

Yet, no matter how powerful the name of Jesus is, if we don’t use the name by calling on it, we won’t experience its power. Remember Blind Bartimaeus—when Jesus passed by, he couldn't chase after Him for a miracle, but he made a demand on Jesus by using His name. He cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” When He used the name in faith, Jesus responded and received his miracle.

Romans 10:13 say, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” God has given us this name to use in prayer, to receive healing, deliverance and every need. Colossians 3:17 reminds us, “Whatever you do, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus.” His name is the sign of divine power, and when used in faith, it releases supernatural results.

If you are a child of God, this name belongs to you! But unless you use it, you won’t enjoy its benefits. Today, I pray that you will actively call on the name of Jesus and experience the power of His salvation and blessings in your life.

Tuesday 25th March

You Have It, Use It. 2

God has already given you everything you need to live a purposeful and victorious life in Christ—now it’s your responsibility to use what He has put inside you and make it evident for the world to see and give Him the glory.

In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), a master entrusted his servants with different amounts. Those who used and multiplied their talents were rewarded, while the one who didn’t use it, but buried it was regarded as wicked and lazy and he was punished. This teaches us that neglecting God’s gifts is laziness, wickedness and a rejection of His wisdom and such acts won’t go unpunished.

Among God’s greatest gifts is His Word—not just written text, but the living Word. As John 1:1 state, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Jesus Himself is the Word, and the Holy Spirit brings the Word alive within us. It’s not about head knowledge but Spirit-empowered truth that transforms lives.

Joh 6:63 GNB, What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving Spirit.

So how do you use this gift? We give ourselves to it by reading, memorizing, studying, meditating applying it to our lives and sharing it with others.

Ezekiel 2:2, “The Spirit entered into me when He spoke to me and set me on my feet.”

When we receive God’s Word into our hearts and submit to it, His Spirit empowers us with His life and wisdom, lifting us above life’s challenges.

As you apply it daily, you will witness its power in your life and gain confidence to impact others. God’s Word carries His life—use it.

Monday 24th March

You Have It, Use It. 1

Since February, we’ve been discussing Revisiting Redemption Realities, and under this we have studies things like —the name of Jesus, the new birth, the life of God, and more. As we round up this month, our theme is: You Have it, Use It. We have discussed a number of things God has given us in Christ; the authority to use His name, His word, His Spirit, His life and so much more. But all these will make no difference if we don’t use them.

Think of a car you own but never drive or money you have but you don’t spend or invest, obviously they have no value to you. It is in the use that we enjoy the value of what we have.

Act 1:8 TPT But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces—even to the remotest places on earth!”

Before He was filled with the Holy Spirit at River Jordan, Jesus lived an ordinary life, but when the Holy Spirit came on Him, everything changed. It is that same Holy Spirit the custodian of all of heaven’s resources on earth that Jesus has now entrusted to us.

With the Holy Spirit, every spiritual resource is at our disposal. Our mission is to represent Christ—first in our immediate environment, then extending outward till we reach the whole world. He wants us to use the ability of the Spirit within us to be a blessing to those around us. He wants us to be let the world know that Heis alive by making use of the resources He has put at our disposal.

You might struggle to use these gifts initially but as you continue, your confidence will grow and you will see His power will manifest through you. I pray that you receive wisdom, strength, and boldness to recognize and apply these gifts in your life in Jesus’ Name.

The Right of Use: Power of Attorney 6

As we continue our discussion on the right of use—the power of attorney we have in Christ to fully represent Him on earth. Understanding this right in Christ is key to walking in the authority He has given us.

The Old Testament gives us a type or shadow of the right of use of God’s authority. For example, when sending Moses, God turned Moses’ rod to His rod of power but Moses had to believe that the rod will do what God had said it would do and when he did, miracles happened. The same principle applies to us, no matter the right of use that we have in Christ, if we don’t believe it, we won’t walk in it.

In His prayers for His disciples just before going to the cross, He said over and over again that they shared in His ability and authority and could therefore represent Him

John 17:8 MKJV, For I have given to them the Words which You gave Me, and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from You. And they have believed that You sent Me.

John 17:14 MKJV, I have given them Your Word…

John 17: 22 MKJV, And I have given them the glory which You have given Me….

Everything the Father gave Jesus; He gave to us. His Word, His authority, and His glory have been imparted to us but without faith it won’t work. This is the greatest barrier to operating in our God-given authority. The sons of Sceva, thought they had the right of use to the name of Jesus – they were disappointed and disgraced because they really didn’t believe in it.

My prayer that you will develop your faith in your right to use the authority you have in Christ and fully representing Him on earth as He intended.

The Right of Use: Power of Attorney 5

God has given us the right to use everything He has given to Christ. When we grasp the vastness of Christ’s authority, we realize that there are no limits to what we can do through Him. Our task is to grow in this understanding and walk in it.

Col 1:16- 17 TPT For through the Son everything was created, both in the heavenly realm and on the earth, all that is seen and all that is unseen. Every seat of power, realm of government, principality, and authority—it was all created through him and for his purpose! 17 He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in him.

Col 2:10 MKJV And you are complete in Him, who is the Head of all principality and power”

The Bible shows us that Jesus Christ reigns over all things—in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. Every power and authority must submit to Him because they were created through Him and for Him. He existed before them, and they find their completion in Him. We also find our completion in Him.

When the Bible says we are complete in Him, it means we are everything we need to be and we have everything we need to have in Him. So, just as He rules above all things, we share in His dominion. Since we have the power of attorney to represent Him, everything He has done for Christ must manifest in our lives.

From this place of completeness in Him, we must actively walk in all Christ has accomplished for us. We are seated with Him, and His triumph is our triumph. We need to take time to gradually think about the reality and possibilities that this power of attorney has made available to us and begin to walk daily in this truth.

The Right of Use: Power of Attorney 4

Our right of use in Christ is the divine empowerment to operate as His representatives on earth. Everything God has given to Christ now belongs to us because we are one with Him. This is the principle of oneness - just as the Vine and branches are one (John 15:5), and as a husband and wife become one in marriage (Ephesians 5:31).

Since we are the body of Christ, whatever belongs to the Head belongs to us. Every time we see phrases like "in Him," "through Him," or "by Him" in Scripture, it refers to our inheritance in Christ and it also gives us the right to use all He has given us. Understanding this truth empowers us to walk in victory and authority.

Philippians 4:13 MKJV, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Matthew 10:1 (NKJV): "Jesus called His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and sickness."

Paul made it clear that whatever ability he had, it came through Christ. We also see Jesus sending out His disciples with His authority. They put the authority to us and returned amazed that sickness, demons, and circumstances responded to His name.

When we fully grasp our oneness with Christ, we realize that what the Father owns, Christ owns, and what Christ owns, we have access to. This is what the power of attorney is about —our right to use His authority. The same way Jesus exercised power over sickness, demons, and nature, we are called to do the same.

As you meditate on this truth, may you grow in understanding and walk in the fullness of your authority in Christ.

The Right of Use: Power of Attorney 3

In Jesus Christ we have been given the right to use His authority. We are empowered to access all the resources of heaven on His behalf. Everything given to Jesus now belongs to the Church, as we are His body. This means we have the power of attorney to use His name, walk in His power and live by His Spirit. To fully experience our redemption, we must understand just as the Bible says, that as He is, so are we in this world now. (1 John 4.17b)

The relationship between Christ (the Head) and the Church (His Body) is inseparable. Just as the head and body share the same life and blood, we share in Christ’s divine nature. Jesus said, “My Father and I are one” (John 10:30). We also have come into that union through Christ. He is the Vine and we are the branches. The same life that flows through Him flows through us; we represent Him.

Ephesians 2:6 (NKJV), "God raised us up together and made us sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."

2Co 2:14 MKJV Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and He revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place.

As a result of our right of use, we have His same victory, authority and dominion. His triumph is our triumph. We must live with a victorious mindset, knowing that we are seated in heavenly places with Him.

Every time we read about Jesus’ life; we see the model for our own. We are His representatives on earth, called to walk in His power and authority. Wherever we see "in Him" in the Bible, it refers to us as believers.

Think on these truths and let them inspire you to live in that same authority and victory!
